  1. He created mayhem on this forum as a distraction once he knew the Sox wouldn't actually be able to afford Machado. The perfect crime.
  2. 100%. It honestly takes nerves to give such a self-important rant about "teaching guys to win" when your team cheated in such an egregious way. I'm sure TA and a bunch of other teammates want to tell him to STFU.
  3. what about danks?
  4. Here are some of the many reasons the White sox will go with Grandal instead of McCann. 1. Trading Grandal this season will be a challenge. Not sure who will take on big contracts like that after this pandemic season. Keeping both is not an option. Signing 2 catchers to big contracts is just ridiculous. 2. The biggest reason for me - this team desperately needs left handed bats. They also need players that can post a solid OBP. Grandal can do both of those. Replacing one of our few guys that can bat lefty would be a big mistakes. 3. McCann played sparingly and was put in positions where he would be successful. His numbers dropped off big time in the 2nd half of 2019 when he was playing regularly. First half OPS was .873, second half OPS was .695. That is much more in line with his career numbers. Bottom line, we have one of the best hitting catchers in Grandal. He is also one of the best pitch framers. We need his lefty bat and OBP. There is no reason to complain about having Grandal
  5. So it's possible it was more BS from not Steve cishek? I thought he had dane Dunning getting traded before anybody.
  6. I still don't know how much to believe from not Steve cishek. He obviously messaged Passan about Dunning getting traded before anybody else had it. He also throws a ton of shit at the wall that doesn't happen. I wonder if all the BS that doesn't happen is a smokescreen so he doesn't burn his source?
  7. The guy just put up a 4 WAR season as a reliever. If he doesn't completely flop, he would be totally worth it. Imagine having Heuer, Bummer, Crochet and Hendriks in the playoffs. Even if one of those guys had an off year, you have a dominant 7-8-9 inning group of relievers that can pitch multiple innings. We'll also have Foster and Bummer there, with some high ceiling guys in Lamber and Burdi waiting. That bullpen would be lockdown.
  8. If you were truly serious about the boycott, you would have joined me in becoming a Cubs fan - when I was considering it.
  9. Him complaining about it didn't help his case at all, I'll tell you that much
  10. Own SS2K5 or Kyle in an argument and yours will get changed very quickly. I speak with vast experience.
  11. The corrupt moderators changed my tag to that, unfortunately.
  12. They should just use Yermin and Collins at DH until Vaughn is ready
  13. Great minds think alike!
  14. Nightengale is really hammering home the notion that the Sox are pursuing Hendriks hard. Love to see it. Heuer, crochet, bummer, and Hendriks would be lethal in the postseason. Assuming one gets hurt or has an off year, you still have a dynamic 7-8-9 inning reliever group, with guys who can throw more than 1 inning.
  15. must HAVE missed* This team was a contender with Edwin Encarnacion as their DH last year. The team will be able to handle Yermin at DH until Vaughn is ready.
  16. Yermin and Collins...
  17. Didn't manfred just say NOT to expect a DH in the NL? What a clown.
  18. If you enjoy my post, remember to give me a like by hitting the heart button in the bottom right side of my post. Thanks, folks.
  19. Thank you for the highlights @South Side Hit Men. It is good, but I prefer Bruce's highlights.
  20. This talk of signing Brantley or Rosario to DH until Vaughn is ready is malarkey. It is a complete waste of resources. It is time for the team to release Yermin and see what he's got. They can rotate guys to DH on occasion if need be. The only issue is if Yermin is completely mashing (OPS 850+) and Vaughn is ready, what do they do? Do you just keep Vaughn down until there is an injury? Bottom line - paying good money for a DH is silly when we have Yermin ready and Vaughn ready soon as well.
  21. If Yermin wins the starting DH job and hits to the tune of .850+ OPS, do they keep Vaughn down until somebody gets injured?
  22. This thread done got Caulfield'd
  23. Agreed. It still scares me considering his age and the fact that the A's used and abused him.
