In Blackmon's 2019 season (using the last full season), he had a 1.174 OPS in Coors Field and a .731 OPS away from Coors. Given his age, contract and below average defense that will only get worse, no thanks to him as well.

Spiegel said he would be surprised if Ricky was let go after this largely successful season in a strange year. He asked Stone what his opinion was and if he had any inside info into the situation. I hate this idea. Eloy is 23 and will continue to play in the OF. We have a generational type hitter in Andrew Vaughn and we're throwing him away so we can DH a below average outfielder? No chance. Not every outfielder needs to be above average.

You can drive, and you can drive while having a blood alcohol level up to .08. Driving is a risk to others whether you are responsible or not. It's about limiting the risk involved. Tex and those by him appear to be doing that.
