I can't help but think about all the players to Sox acquire that end up being dead money. It's typically barging bin contracts on washed up players. Going back to 2019 (because I'm lazy), here are contracts that were basically worthless. It may be unfair to include relievers (Herrera) and guys who just aged poorly, but I did. Is it normal for teams to have this much dead money? I understand it for teams that are big spenders, but the White Sox aren't big spenders.
