  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 05:42 PM) Brewers are killing it. They needed a little spark in that farm system. They got it by signing 2 of 3 first day picks.
  2. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...mp;ymd=20140607 Charlotte- Axelrod. Semien playing LF Birmingham- Blough Winston Salem- Jaye Kannapollis- Sanchez
  3. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Sox just took a guy who's 6'9" Lefty too. Yikes.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) My guess is his TJS is the reason he's a firm commit. He probably (rightfully) assumed teams thought he would be an injury risk so he'd fall quite a bit compared to his talent level. Few healthy years and he could be and the top of the draft. Or he gets hurt again and loses everything. Exactly, why not get paid now though if you already had a major arm injury? If that was me, I'm going pro and taking the money.
  5. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:26 PM) I'm sure that will be a major selling point. All indications from Jarvis' twitter is that he's gonna sign. Apparently friends with Hawkins. Rodon follows the Sox on Twitter now. IT'S A SIGN. Yeah I saw that he is friends with Hawkins. And YES ))
  6. We can still win this series. Let's do it.
  7. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:19 PM) I know the Sox will probably be tapped out after Rodon and Spencer but if I'm De Oca, I don't think pitching in college is the best move with 1 TJS already under my belt. He's really going to take the chance that he will be healthy for the next 3 years, pitching for free? F that. I'd go pro. Very good point that I haven't really thought of (just saw we drafted him). And considering our history with keeping pitching and position players healthy is top in the league.
  8. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:15 PM) Yep. I posted it a few pages back with an article. It really sounds like it's close or maybe even done. Sorry for not looking through it, but yeah thank you. Good sign. Is he better with his stick or pitching?
  9. I have a hunch Jake Jarvis is gonna sign. His bio already says infielder in the Chicago White Sox organization.
  10. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 10:40 PM) 1. Rodon 2. Adams 3. Danish 4. Hawkins 5. Anderson 6. Johnson 7. Beck 8. Adolfo 9. Castillo 10. May I went with two wild cards at 8 and 9 but not without solid reasoning. I think that Micker will be a top 5 prospect maybe even top three when the season is over. I like his ceiling too much and he has elite power and bat speed according to the scouting reports and I like that combo too much. With Castillo when the Sox signed him in 2012, the word on the street was that he had a advanced feel for hitting and power, I can not wait to see him play for the AZL team this year. Adams is very projectable and I think that he will add more velocity and develop into a solid front of the rotation starter for the Sox down the line. The same goes for Danish who had a solid outing the Sox this week. That's one of the worst lists I've seen. How Davidson, Sanchez, Montas, Ravelo, Trey isn't on that list is bad.
  11. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 08:11 PM) Kyle Hansen took over in relief for Montas and stranded the runners with 2 Ks and a groundout. Montas's ERA is now 1.23 on the year. Meanwhile for Charlotte, Carlos Sanchez is 1-2 with a walk, Davidson 1-3 with a HR, Saladino 1-2 with a double, Phegley 1-3 with a HR. But they're down 13-4 with De Los Santos following Johnson in getting rocked. Hanson has done well this season also.
  12. Lot of good HS players still left available.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 06:53 PM) Carolina 1 for 9 with RISP already, 6 baserunners (5 hits/1 BB) but no runs through 3. Testing himself in adverse conditions. Seems he's limiting them to mostly singles/station-to-station baseball. At least he's doing well without most likely his best stuff.
  14. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 06:40 PM) Johnson has walked 2 more in the 2nd. Get him under the knife right now. I say give him TJ for the hell of it. Maybe he'll regain his velocity back.
  15. Hawkins with a BB
  16. Rondon 1-1 R Hayes 1-1 R RBI Trey 1-1 2B RBI Kanny up 3-0. I like that. Colabello hits a granny off of Johnson lol. Unbelievable.
  17. 3 more walks for Johnson in a third of an inning lol. What the hell is his problem
  18. Let's win another series.
  19. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 05:28 PM) Sox draft Jake Jarvis, listed him as 2B. Callis said he thought he was considered unsignable, and he preferred him as a pitcher. Curious that the Sox would take a tough sign with the last of the slotted picks. Must think they have the money moved around. I like it. I saw his video on mlb.com. Sharp break to his curveball and his fast ball has some good sink to it at 88-90
  20. Round 10 2B/RHP Jake Jarvis Klein Collins HS
  21. http://www.kentstatesports.com/cumestats.a...l&year=2014 Find Brian Clark and there are his stats. Average.
  22. Round 9 LHP Brian Clark Kent State
  23. Pretty good hitter 365 avg 9HR 55RBIs 22BB 26K. Made 13 errors. 948 fielding %
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 03:41 PM) The picks 3 through 5 weren't bad at all even if they are very sign able guys. It's really just these last two that are of little excitement. I like the Lechich pick too. Under slot senior who at least is a plus defender and has decent pop in the bat.
  25. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 03:41 PM) The picks 3 through 5 weren't bad at all even if they are very sign able guys. It's really just these last two that are of little excitement. That is true.
