  1. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 11:10 PM) Yeeeeeeeeeea, Jose can go ahead and sit on the bench tomorrow. It's not your series, buddy. Him and Stanton are both struggling. Stanton is 1-9 in Cubs series with 6 Ks
  2. Abreu hasn't been close to hitting a ball tonight at all.
  3. Thompson 3-4 2 2B out of the leadoff spot. That's encouraging.
  4. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 08:14 PM) Hate these 9pm games ...waiting and waiting Same. I'm already tired.
  5. Thompson 2-3 2B Ravelo 0-3 Anderson 1-3 May 2-3 3R, 2B Hawkins 1-1 2 RBIs, BB Jaye 7IP 2ER 5H 2BB 3K Jones 2-4 Hayes 3-4 2 RBIs Rondon 1-5 Trey 1-5 Mitchell 3IP 1ER 2BB 4K (really has done out of the pen lately)
  6. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 07:52 PM) MLB.com piece on Montes De Oca: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...ws&c_id=cws Sounds like he really is considering going pro
  7. Anderson 1-1 Hawkins BB De Michele 1-1 2B 2 RBIs Jaye 1ER. He isn't getting much help from the defense.
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 06:08 PM) Semien handles the first play of the game in left field. From Lakso He's a natural
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 05:42 PM) Brewers are killing it. They needed a little spark in that farm system. They got it by signing 2 of 3 first day picks.
  10. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...mp;ymd=20140607 Charlotte- Axelrod. Semien playing LF Birmingham- Blough Winston Salem- Jaye Kannapollis- Sanchez
  11. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Sox just took a guy who's 6'9" Lefty too. Yikes.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) My guess is his TJS is the reason he's a firm commit. He probably (rightfully) assumed teams thought he would be an injury risk so he'd fall quite a bit compared to his talent level. Few healthy years and he could be and the top of the draft. Or he gets hurt again and loses everything. Exactly, why not get paid now though if you already had a major arm injury? If that was me, I'm going pro and taking the money.
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:26 PM) I'm sure that will be a major selling point. All indications from Jarvis' twitter is that he's gonna sign. Apparently friends with Hawkins. Rodon follows the Sox on Twitter now. IT'S A SIGN. Yeah I saw that he is friends with Hawkins. And YES ))
  14. We can still win this series. Let's do it.
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:19 PM) I know the Sox will probably be tapped out after Rodon and Spencer but if I'm De Oca, I don't think pitching in college is the best move with 1 TJS already under my belt. He's really going to take the chance that he will be healthy for the next 3 years, pitching for free? F that. I'd go pro. Very good point that I haven't really thought of (just saw we drafted him). And considering our history with keeping pitching and position players healthy is top in the league.
  16. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:15 PM) Yep. I posted it a few pages back with an article. It really sounds like it's close or maybe even done. Sorry for not looking through it, but yeah thank you. Good sign. Is he better with his stick or pitching?
  17. I have a hunch Jake Jarvis is gonna sign. His bio already says infielder in the Chicago White Sox organization.
  18. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 10:40 PM) 1. Rodon 2. Adams 3. Danish 4. Hawkins 5. Anderson 6. Johnson 7. Beck 8. Adolfo 9. Castillo 10. May I went with two wild cards at 8 and 9 but not without solid reasoning. I think that Micker will be a top 5 prospect maybe even top three when the season is over. I like his ceiling too much and he has elite power and bat speed according to the scouting reports and I like that combo too much. With Castillo when the Sox signed him in 2012, the word on the street was that he had a advanced feel for hitting and power, I can not wait to see him play for the AZL team this year. Adams is very projectable and I think that he will add more velocity and develop into a solid front of the rotation starter for the Sox down the line. The same goes for Danish who had a solid outing the Sox this week. That's one of the worst lists I've seen. How Davidson, Sanchez, Montas, Ravelo, Trey isn't on that list is bad.
  19. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 08:11 PM) Kyle Hansen took over in relief for Montas and stranded the runners with 2 Ks and a groundout. Montas's ERA is now 1.23 on the year. Meanwhile for Charlotte, Carlos Sanchez is 1-2 with a walk, Davidson 1-3 with a HR, Saladino 1-2 with a double, Phegley 1-3 with a HR. But they're down 13-4 with De Los Santos following Johnson in getting rocked. Hanson has done well this season also.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 06:53 PM) Carolina 1 for 9 with RISP already, 6 baserunners (5 hits/1 BB) but no runs through 3. Testing himself in adverse conditions. Seems he's limiting them to mostly singles/station-to-station baseball. At least he's doing well without most likely his best stuff.
