QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 12:51 AM) They have Basabe ahead of Fulmer. Does that mean they have Basabe as Top 100, or that they're low on Fulmer? BA has always been pretty low on Fulmer, but i remember reading one of their chats saying he still might be in the top 100. So, Basabe has a chance to crack the top 100.

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go

QUOTE (beautox @ Dec 20, 2016 -> 07:55 PM) Agreed. In Jack Curry's video on YES from earlier he was saying Hahn is going to want the yankees top 4 or 5 prospects to land Quintana; sounds great...Also said its unlikely this deal gets done. Duh Hahn is gonna say that, then you negotiate and go from there. -
Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go

I don't see us getting both Torres and Frazier. I think pick one of them and go from there. I'd go Torres (SS), Rutherford (OF), Andujar (3B), and Fowler (OF) for Quintana -

Frazier, Rutherford, Andujar, and Clarkin would be a good haul for me. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 18, 2016 -> 05:34 PM) I don't get this...why the heck would we want to fire him now? Wait one more year and snag Harbaugh from Michigan

Hawks offense showed up yesterday finally picking up Darling even though Darling didn't play terribly.

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 15, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) KLaw also raved about Carson Kelly and thought Sisco could be a solid starter at catcher I'd love to get Chance Sisco on the Sox. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) We should sign Greg Holland specifically so we can trade Drob to a more desperate team. Saw this on twitter. Derek Holland and Greg Holland = Dutch Brothers.

AJ 12:35 Hi Dave/ When the smoke clears, who else do the White Sox move? I think Robertson is a definite. Don't think there is enough of a market for Abreu and Frazier. And I don't think anyone meets Quintana's asking price. Thanks. Dave Cameron 12:36 I'd bet Robertson, Quintana, Melky, and Frazier all go before Opening Day. Might take an injury in spring training to jumpstart a deal for one of those guys, but I don't think they hold onto any of those guys. Abreu sticks around until next year when there's a thinner RH 1B free agent class. Chat Guy 1:01 If Kopech is getting Syndergaard comparisons, what comparison was Syndergaard getting at the same development point as Kopech? Dave Cameron 1:02 Well Syndergaard didn't throw 100 when he was in the low minors. His velo spiked as he climbed the ladder.

Minty 12:16 How does the switching of the Sox affect your outlook on Moncada? Dave Cameron 12:17 Probably helps him, as the White Sox won't try to rush him to help a team contend. Plus, more likely he can switch to CF now, which is probably his best long-term position, I think. Rob 12:20 What team do you see as the most likely landing spot for Quintana? Could Pittsburgh be a sleeper considering his contract? Dave Cameron 12:20 Houston makes too much sense. Charley 12:20 Is it smarter for Rick Hahn to hold on to Abreu until July or next off-season considering the glut of hitters available this year? Dave Cameron 12:20 Yep
-
Zonk 12:08 After years of dithering, the White Sox seem to be running the offseason as you suggested. Are you impressed so far? Dave Cameron 12:08 Yeah, hard to argue with what they've done. I think Giolito is a bit overrated, so I don't think the Eaton deal was the huge steal other people are talking about, but these were good moves. CarrotJuice 12:09 Clearly the Nats had soured on Giolito. To the best of your knowledge, have multiple teams soured on Giolito as well? Dave Cameron 12:09 Yep. Pretty much everyone I talked to at the winter meetings said their internal rankings were much lower on Giolito than the public ones.

Matt 12:07 What would the Jays have to give up in a hypothetical Melky Cabrera trade? Dave Cameron 12:07 Probably just take the contract.

Would love JB Bauskakaus and Evan Skog

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 07:50 PM) Cesaro was incredible in that match. Owens and Jericho to win belts tonight? Watching raw now, Cesaro was phenomenal per usual in that match. -

QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 04:37 PM) I don't really like the Marlins system very much as a match for the Sox A low 1st round pick and Kolek could entice me.

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:21 AM) That's seriously overvaluing Abreu. If the Sox couldn't get Dahl + Rodgers for Q, then you are assuming that they would get Dahl for Abreu which flat out isn't happening. The one thing we should be learning this offseason is that teams aren't going to move guys they are counting on this year for the Sox assets. Dahl is going to be playing everyday for the Rockies this year. I'll be stunned if the Rockies move him. Where's he going to play? Why are they looking at Trumbo? 0 chance Desmond stays at first. -
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Agree with this. Kizer has the highest ceiling. Trubisky has only started 1 season and Watson is being over-analyzed. DE Jonathan Allen and Patrick Mahomes in the first two rounds would have be gitty. The DL would be insane. Hicks (who needs an extension)- Goldman- Allen Then you still have McPhee, Young and Floyd on the outside. Woof. (I'm assuming Houston is cut)

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:09 AM) Didn't the Marlins check in on Gonzalez last July? Maybe we can package Gonzalez and Robertson together. I believe you are right. Their current rotation is Chen, Conley, Volquez, Koehler, and Urena. Is Gonzalez really much of an upgrade?

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Quintana AND Abreu for Dahl and Rodgers? No thanks. I'd need at 2 out of three of Tapia, McMahon and Murphy in addition to those 2. Not even that ChiSox. If Quintana AND Abreu are going, i'm requesting Dahl, Rodgers, Hoffman +2 lottery tickets -
QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:00 AM) Agreed. If there's anyone who is most likely to get traded before Christmas, it's Robertson. Agreed. I think it'll come down to Washington and Miami for Robertson. I would not be shocked if Miami offered Garrett, Kolek, or Castillo for Robertson because Miami lol

Trubinsky or Kizer and I'm good. If both go before 4, take best D available and go Mahomes in round 2

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 10:13 AM) Hahn really does hold the cards. Two comparable trades have set the market, and Lunhow doesn't really have a ton of other options. What this is setting up for IMO, is a much deeper & stronger minor league package, once Hahn lets go of Musgrove. Lunhow has Danny Duffy and Yordano Ventura available to take him to the playoffs *laughing hysterically writing this* -
QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 04:46 PM) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/prospect-re...ancisco-giants/ Take a look. The Los Angeles Dodgers it is not. I'd target Arroyo and Beede easily. Their system is much to be desired, so I think we can definitely get a couple of their top prospects.
