  1. If rumors are true about the Yankees wanting Quintana and Robertson (with Sox eating some salary), I think we can easily get 4-5 players for them. Torres, Frazier, Sheffield, and Fowler would probably do it if we were able to get both Frazier and Torres. If we only got to pick one I could see: Torres/Frazier, Rutherford, Sheffield, Andujar, and Fowler.
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 27, 2016 -> 08:18 AM) Eat some of(hell eat the whole damn thing) and just bring back a serious haul. Even if Sox eat only 5 million, that is a bargain for Robertson. Sox should bring back a massive haul for both.
  3. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 08:25 AM) The Charlotte lineup should have Yoan Moncada, Adam Engel, and Jacob May in it. The rotation will consist of Giolito, Lopez, and Fulmer with Clark and Burdi in the bullpen. Fun team. Tyler Danish probably in the rotation as well. Along with Delmonico, Peter, and Hayes. Could be a very fun team.
  4. QUOTE (BRIRO2017 @ Dec 26, 2016 -> 06:18 PM) God why cant people see this??? The sox DO have to deal Quintana this off season. This isnt Dwight Gooden. Or Kerry Wood. Hes never getting better than he is right now. He has 4 years of control. 3 is LESS lol. The market is weak. Hes not injured. Hes at his ABSOLUTE PEAK. You are rebuilding and you dont have to deal him now? Thats retarded. Yeah, I agree here that you have to trade Quintana before Spring Training. Like mentioned before, Quintana's value will never be higher, don't want to risk injury, and a half year/full year less of control. The players I can see keeping until the deadline are Frazier, Melky, and Robertson.
  5. Paxson comes out and says they need to be more athletic. Yet, signed Wade and Rondo lol
  6. Really hope Sox could get something done with the Pirates or somehow the Rockies chime in on Quintana. I really like a Glasnow, Bell, Newman, Diaz package for Q. Hopefully we can somehow get Meadows though
  7. WSD tweets that Yankees backed out which I'm fine with. I think Pirates nut up and trade for Q and keep Cutch
  8. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 24, 2016 -> 09:47 AM) If I were Toronto, I'd just re-sign Bautista to a one year deal (he's looking for one now) as opposed to giving up pieces for McCutchen. I think they'd definitely do both because they lost a lot in EE. Having an OF of McCutchen Pillar and Bautista would help ease the lose of EE.
  9. Blue Jays get: McCutchen Pirates get: Quintana White Sox get: Glasnow, Newman, Vlad Guerrero Jr, Alford, and Tellez
  10. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 04:51 PM) Does anyone else find it odd that raBBit is the only one reporting this three team deal -- and every other media outlet is shooting it down? Heyman was the only one shooting it down, and Chuck didn't understand it as he thinks the Yankees would be getting Q. Those are the only 2 that have acknowledged it so far.
  11. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 04:42 PM) I don't see the sox taking mccutchen back. They want prospects in return. I understand that, but they could flip Cutch too.
  12. Do the Sox take on McCutchen and then flip him if he truly is a salary dump for the Pirates? If so, what kind of package could come back with him for Q?
  13. Yankees get: Cutch and Glasnow Pirates get: Quintana and Adujar Sox get: Frazier, Rutherford, Newman, and Keller Thoughts?
  14. Going off the original tweet of raBBit and WSD, I think a package of Glasnow, Newman, Rutherford, and Andujar would make sense for Q.
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 07:57 AM) Totally. I also have a lot to do today so I kinda don't want it to happen Selfish! I definitely want it to happen today.
  16. Illinois beats out Iowa for Kendrick Green. Huge get for Illinois. Now rank 42nd in recruiting rankings according to scout.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:46 PM) Unfortunately the Padres are trying to throw out a starting rotation inspired by the expendables I laughed more than I should at this post. I think as currently structured, were a bottom 5 team in the league. We trade Quintana and Robertson in the next few weeks, I'd be convinced we'll be having a top 3 pick. Trade Frazier and Melky at the deadline, were contending for the #1 pick.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) My impression was that woof was a bad thing, origin: Home Alone "Buzz's girlfriend...woof" Us millennials have changed the definition. Sorry about that, bud
  19. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:38 PM) I don't know if I like the pitching potential, or the offensive juggernaut potential of that team more You would have power: Beer, Collins, Abreu, Moncada, Meadows, Basabe, Machado Speed: Anderson, Moncada, Basabe The ceiling of the rotation is absurd Scary thing is that Sox would still have enough money to acquire an ace pitcher too because of how cheap the lineup is.
  20. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:35 PM) You just beat me to it! hahahaha LOL, that is fantastic, but yes, that lineup is insane.
  21. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) C- Collins (fingers crossed) 1B - Bell 2B - Moncada SS - Anderson 3B - Machado OF- Meadows OF- Basabe OF- Beer DH - Abreu Fixed it for you, and all I gotta say is Woof.
  22. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:27 PM) And they'll all be unable to resist the shine of "guaranteed rate" branding. Sorry to bring the Cubs into this, but having this young core and hopefully they succeed because the attractiveness from free agents in 2 years, they will take notice. Lester did (it helped that Theo was there), but saw the potential. Hahn and the young core could do the same.
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) Or somehow Tilson went really, really right. At age 26 with the money the Sox should have, I'm down of he'd be the last piece. Same. I have a buddy who's a diehard O's fan. I said just watch the Sox sign him in 2 years, he said no way and if it happens he'll buy me a jersey lol.
  24. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 02:51 PM) http://www.dailyherald.com/article/2016122...orts/161229711/ No source provided, but speculation that the White Sox asking price to the Pirates is Glasnow, Meadows plus either Bell or Newman I love it. Keep the pricetag really high and force a team's hand. Quintana's contract is especially valuable given the massive free agent deals being handed out left and right. The key for the White Sox is getting the Pirates to agree in priciple for Meadows and Glasnow to headline the deal...and then possibly allow them to negotiate you down to a player like Hayes as the final piece I'd do Q for Meadows, Glasnow, and Bell. Sign me up.
