QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 08:18 AM) Profar has a ton of talent but I believe he sustained a bad injury a few years ago and he still isn't what you would call a great bat. And the 3 years of control is significant. the Sox are going to do a quick rebuild (thus the desire for prospects close to he majors) so that leaves the Sox with 1 or 2 years of control when contending. Not enough. And then there's Gallo.... If you want lower level prospects with great potential, Texas is the team. But for Sale, don't see it. Good news with the Indians getting Miller. Puts more pressure on Boston and takes one of the best arms off of the market. Profar has had 2 shoulder surgeries, correct? His health has been holding him back quite a bit.

QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 08:16 AM) I actually deleted my post with this deal, minus Bird, figuring I would get the standard "not enough" reply. I think even without Bird, this is a killer package of talent. Also, Frazier being a White Sox and tormenting Cleveland would be sweet. From the Yankees, I think Frazier, Severino, and Bird are must gets in any Chris Sale deal.

Torress, Frazier, Severino, Bird, Sanchez, and Judge for Sale.

Yankees getting 2 more players to go with Sheffield and Frazier. Wow.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 11:02 PM) His mechanics suck at the plate. He jams himself so much, and he is unable to turn on anything because of his approach. Probably asking Avi for tips

Why does Robin bring in a rookie in a tie game AND he hasn't pitched in 2 weeks?

Sell. Sell. Sell.

Where has Duke been?

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 07:03 PM) @JimBowden_ESPN Red Sox third base prospect Rafael Devers hits his 4th HR in 8 games in front of White Sox scouts... es.pn/2aoWJqJ Benintendi, Devers, Kopech, Vazquez, Swihart, and Travis for Q and Robertson

What happened?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 05:25 PM) Wtf are you doing, Braves? QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 05:48 PM) No kidding. I get they want a team for the new park, but Kemp now? Rather have Kemp than Olivera

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 05:40 PM) Doubt that highly. It could be nothing that those guys are sitting anyway. Benintendi is only going if it's a big boy. I'd bet Quintana. Benintendi, Vazquez, Devers, and Kopech for Q?

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 05:38 PM) If they're coming to us for Robertson, HOLY f***ING s***BALLS! There's no rumors to this though, is there?

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 02:19 PM) I agree trading him makes sense at this point. Going to be harder though since Melancon just got traded to Washington. Boston and Texas desperately need some bullpen help.

Willie Young signs a 2 year extension with the Bears

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 07:34 AM) I was not a fan of the trade as soon as it was made from the trade thread below. I liked Almonte a lot. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...97492&st=30 I did too. Loved Almonte

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 07:48 AM) Josiah passed this morning. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. So sorry man. My thoughts are with you and your family.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:54 PM) I miss Myles Jaye. Yency Almonte

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:26 PM) Pretty sure Bucket told us his source dropped him in the offseason - I could be wrong. Thought that was RockRaines.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:24 PM) Bucket- anything for us? We haven't heard from him in months

WSD says his source doesnt think Q got traded.

QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:09 PM) Am I missing something? Did Jerry die and KW finally resign? That would be the only way that Moncada would be coming to the Sox. We don't rebuild, we only re-tool baby! We get it dude, you've already mentioned the Jerry KW thing 5 times in this thread.

Moncada is still on the AA roster.

WSD says gut feeling he thinks this is Q's last start.

I'd also throw in Robertson to Texas because they desperately need a closer. Getting 6-7 roster players/top prospects for both of them would be good for me
