That "someone" you know who is high on Cotts has every reason to be high on him. Trust me, I've seen him pitch here at my university for an entire season. I know college stats don't predict professional stats, but he's going to get the job done.

Have you heard anything regarding WHAT the terms for such deal are looking to be? I'm thinking that a great contract would be six to seven years, with tons of incentives (for years he wins 20+ games, and/or accomplishes awards such as Cy Young). Give him a contract for $4-$5/year, and add incentives accordingly.

It's obvious that Sadaam is not going to disarm, so proper actions must be taken. If it does result in war, then so be it. Anything to help things remain copasetic here is fine in my book.

Can we give the guy a break? This was his first or second appearance in big league camp. He may turn out to be great or he may end up sucking, but neither will be because he has a few outings in ST. He basically stated that the UN Security Council will take a last vote tomorrow about what actions they will take. If they get Germany and France's support (the others should vote 'yes' without any problems), we will have the UN Security Council backing us. But, if the vote does not pass, Bush is prepared to step forward himself and take military actions. So then what would be the case if say Danny Wright pitches poorly, and the Sox are down by two runs when Manuel decides to bring in Gordon in the 8th inning. While Gordon is in the game, the Sox gain the lead, and Manuel decides he wants Gordon to pitch in the 9th (see Foulke situation against Yankees...this kinda thing could happen where he'd get two innings of relief). Gordon has a 2-run lead, and he pitches out of the 9th without giving up any runs. The Sox win the game. Gordon would be the winning pitcher; however, does this mean that no save would be awarded to anyone?
