The Hawks claimed Mike Eastwood off of waivers about 1 1/2 months ago. All he was brought in here to do was win us faceoffs, and has he ever done his job. The scoring he does is just gravy, and he's been involved in some scoring as well. A great pickup by Mike Smith indeed.

Since Andersson was sent back down to Norfolk, Leighton is getting the call between the pipes on Saturday night in Nashville. He's the young guy who had a lights-out preseason. This will be his first NHL start, and it couldn't come against a better opponent than struggling Nashville. I would think he might see playing time against Vancouver and maybe one of these other two games this month against St. Loser. Trust me, you are going to like what you see.

I remember a big series right after the All-Star break where Detroit handed us our asses..... Sox lost 4 out of 5 I think. I'm not too sure what the season W-L record was. I remember that weekend hurt the Sox though. :mad: Actually, the Sox lost three out of the five games. We took the bread of the sandwich, but the Tigers ran away with the meat, cheese, and condiments!!!

Yea, 2003 WILL BE our year! We get the All Star Game at our ballpark, our state's quarter is released, and the Sox win the World Series. If the Hawks can win the Stanley Cup, I would have to slap myself at the end of the year, because I'd think I'd be dreaming, on cloud nine forever!!!

It seems like you guys expect him to be Jim Edmonds out there! He is a solid bat, which is needed, with average base skills and an improving defensive flair. Do not begin to diss my Carlos when all he does is improves on past performances. Carlos WILL be great this coming year, which is why we need to hold on to him. He is valuable to our team right now, and he will be for a while.

Does it amaze you that we have virtually the same record as the Lakers of all teams! And frankly I think this Bulls team will be able to beat the Lakers in their second matchup at the United Center later on in the season. I'm loving how much inspired basketball this team is playing this season (minus that stretch of nine games where they couldn't even put a tally in the win column). Eddie Curry is beginning to blossom, and Tyson Chandler is just plain fun to watch. The player who is amazing me more than anyone is Donyell Marshall. He's clearly a great baller!
