I don't understand how he had the space to make pipe bombs and pressure cookers without anyone finding out or thinking something was messed up?!? Oh and fuck the media for plastering the names of these guys all over. It is exactly what they want

I don't know much about other countries so I can't really speak to that. I don't know their gun laws or how many mentally ill people they have or how their schools are set up. All I have heard about Canada is how nice the people are there. So could it be how people are raised in each country? How much bulling there is? How many guns are illegally & legally being sold in each country? If there is a lot of security at their schools? It could be a number of things but it was way more complicated than ban guns or make security better in schools. It is how to get illegal guns off the streets, how to make sure guns are being sold to people who pass psych evals & background checks. But what about the kids who steal guns from their parents & those parents not having any clue their kid is having issues? There are so many different ways to obtain weapons to hurt other people it is impossible to stop this stuff from happening. You can have metal detectors in schools but what about the parking lot when kids are arriving to school or on the bus that has 50+ kids on it? Bad people will always find a way.

I have no idea what needs to be done, not sure if there is anything that can change to prevent mass casualty situations. I am not affiliated with either party and I don't think it is a Republican or Democrat thing. Like I said it isn't just a black & white situation, we have no idea what actually happens behind the scenes besides what the media says and I don't trust most of them. You can't allow guns into a big event like that no matter what

Obama didn't do anything either when mass shootings happened. Its not just a President thing or Democrat or Republican thing. All I hear is something needs to change, laws need to be stricter but no specific proposals. If you start banning guns then you have half of America pissed off, then another mass killing happens and you have half the country saying if people had their guns then this could have been stopped. It isn't just a black & white situation.

I'm not exactly sure what can change to prevent this stuff from happening. I personally feel like bad people will find a way to do bad things even if there are strict gun laws. There are plenty of ways to get guns illegally and bad people will find the ways to do so.
