St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox
QUOTE (MAX @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 11:09 PM) It was two feet off the line is what gets me. It could have been easily avoided. But when you make a call like that, you do it in a moment. That is what I don't get. It was two feet inside the line. Isn't that the fielders territory if a runner is running home?? I feel like Craig ran into him. But that is just me and I live in St. Louis and don't like the Cardinals so I could have tunnel vision. I still don't think you call that to end a damn World Series game

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox
And I don't understand why Ferrell didn't pinch hit for Workman in the 9th inning?? He ended up taking him out anyways and it cost them the game.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox
Maybe the Red Sox should stop throwing to third base in this series. What a bunch of idiots

It's been 8 years...
I can't believe I forgot about Marte and Vizcaino. I knew there was another lefty in the pen and I just couldn't get the name. I was in 7th grade when we won so give me a break lol

Quintana Trade Value
I would rather not trade Quintana unless we are getting a proven player with a good track record at 3rd, Catcher, CF, or LF and a good hitting prospect

Chase Headley - Sox Potential Fit
I still think Conor could be pretty good. I just think he needs more time.

Sleeper Prospects
This is a 20 team league with 25 milb rounds so there will be 500 guys picked. I know there are a few pitchers in the Sox organization curious who exactly those are. We are in the 13th round and players taken have been: Marcus Semien Micah Johnson Erik Johnson Tim Anderson Courtney Hawkins Keon Barnum

Red Sox vs. Tigers
QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 11:07 PM) Jake Peavy says hi too. Yeah I know. I said it because they were showing Thornton and his kid for like 10 seconds
-
Red Sox vs. Tigers
Well at least Thornton is kind of a part of the team?
-
Sleeper Prospects
Who are some sleeper prospects both for the Sox and other teams to look for this coming year?? I am in a Dynasty league and we are in the middle of the 25 round MILB draft and I am running out of people with 13 rounds left!

Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
I can't wait to see JOSE ABREU hit this year. This thread is no longer about him lol
-
Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) or even where does Abreu hit? 3? 4? 5? As we sit now you have to think our 3-4-5 is some variation of Abreu, Dunn and Garcia. You would think it would be left-right-left. So probably Abreu, Garcia, Dunn if Abreu shows he can hit. I would start him at the highest 5th in the line up to begin with

Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
QUOTE (Dunt @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) Rick Hahn is on fire. He has my full support in any move going forward. Love an offense anchored by Abreu and Garcia going forward! I think we are only one or two more hitters away from being a playoff contender! And maybe a couple pitchers
-
Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
He better pass that damn physical!!! :headbang

Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
Does anyone have a quote from Ken about the signing?
-
Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 09:26 PM) Yeah, but he's a first baseman. Yeah I know, I was hoping he had some of that Cuban speed! lol.
-
Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 09:23 PM) He is a hitter. Weak-average fielder and not athletic. Puig and Cespedes have the tools but Abreu had more offense in Cuba than both of them. So basically he is just a pure hitter? No speed?
-
Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
So is Abreu projected to be better then Cespedes/Puig?? Or just in hitting?
-
Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
This better be finalized tonight! I am in the middle of a minor league draft in a dynasty league and it is almost my pick!! I want to draft him. And also this would be huge for the White Sox if this guy pans out and I feel like this will help Viciedo maybe too!

Dodgers vs. Cardinals
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 08:22 PM) They post it on the Jumbotron! St. Louis people really love that "title"
-
Dodgers vs. Cardinals
It also doesn't help when the PA announcer at Busch Stadium refers to the Cardinals having the best fans in baseball at least twice every game I have been too. I have been to my fair share of White Sox games and I don't hear our announcer saying that before the game.

Dodgers vs. Cardinals
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 03:26 PM) How many Cardinal fans have you actually heard say that? I live in St. Louis and I will say a lot of people say this.

2013 TV Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 10, 2013 -> 01:13 PM) Brad is too much of a meat head. He should have just stuck to the original strategy. I think you want people on your alliance who dont have a loved one at the merge, because then they are reliant on you and there is no chance that their loved one was convinces them to do a different plan. Because thats really the most dangerous situation. If you had a merge with the 2 girls and their mothers, there was just no way that Brad could have controlled that group. So it would have been a way better play to get rid of them before Candice's husband, which is really where the wheels fell off. Exactly. Why would he even want to get rid of Caleb? He had nobody to go to at merge and would of stayed with Brad if he wasn't so aggressive.

Trade season approaching
I am excited to see what Semien can do for us next year!

Red Sox vs Rays Series
These celebrations are a bit ridiculous for moving on to the next round. I understand clinching the world series but winning the division series?
