God I hope so :pray

He don't have a whole lot left in the tank, but it's certainly more than Flowers has.

Exactly.

I would expect the Sox to explore this ASAP.

Wow, didn't see this coming.

My presumption is a contender comes to him as well and maybe he considers that, otherwise would be surprised if the Sox / him didn't see a nice fit. He could be a good mentor for Nieto too, imo.

Bring him back. That would be awesome!! He will hit .250 probably but maybe be revived coming back to the SouthSide

This is shocking

I'd welcome AJ back in a heartbeat. Could use his left bat, defense, game calling and attitude.

AJ has been pretty bad for Boston this year BTW: .254/.286/.348.

I wouldn't mind having him over Flowers for the rest of the year though.

At worst it would bring some MUCH NEEDED local headlines and attention on our team.

Just in time for the tenth anniversary

Robin's replacement. :D

I guess the only hurdle is how hurt was his camp when we really didnt offer him much on the market previously.

Please bring him back to Chicago. As long as I don't have to see Flowers at the plate anymore.

Compare that to Flowers and he is an all-star.. Plus he is another lefty.

s***, I'd sign him for the remainder of this year and next, and guarantee him all the playing time.

I sure as hell hope not. I'd rather call up Phegley

God I hope not. Pukeworthy.

71 games left. Don't bother.

Don't know if we would bring him back but we HAVE to look into it

A veteran catcher with plenty of experience with us and has shown a nice ability to grow young pitching staffs while still being able to hit somewhat comparatively to the rest of the league replacing a guy who is just historically bad right at this point. There's no reason to hate it, but someone will.

Whatever leads to Flowers' departure is good with me
