Sure, I guess. Not the decision I would have made, but I didn't call it dumb. Gio has simply been a better pitcher than Lynn for a few months. Lynn's knee worries me. Is Lynn a bad choice? Hell no. Dude is a stud. Just not sure we're going to get even the B+ version of Lance this October, based on what we've seen in recent weeks/months.

I definitely would have gone with Gio. But TLR did specifically say in his presser today that Lynn will be available for game 4, if needed.

TLR specifically said this in his press conference. Said Lynn is available for game 4 if needed. I think this is their preliminary plan, tbh.

Well sounds like you don't take much for Rabbit's thoughts, but I respect what he says and he clearly talks to people that are connected. I don't want to get into a debat about Rabbit with you - but its not hard to figure out that someone told Rabbit that Jose didn't travel with the team. Could be as simple as he wasn't feeling well and they didn't want him to travel with the club. Could also be something more serious - like he tested positive for the virus that is currently a worldwide pandemic. I guess we'll all find out soon enough. But again, chances are that all this ruckus isn't about nothing.

I am not saying he has covid. I am saying it is very possible he has tested positive for covid since Hahn said he was dealing with non-covid virus 48 hours ago. Its also possible he just wasn't feeling well enough to work out on Tuesday and team didn't want him around all the guys, so he is coming to Houston seperately. But if all was well, chances are we wouldn't be hearing all this stuff.

What he said was 48 hours ago. Its fairly evident things have changed since then. Hahn also said he'd be at practice Tuesday, and there is no sign that he was.

But have you specifically been told Abreu isn't in with the team at the moment? Sounds like you're insinuating as such. Perhaps Jose was still under the weather last couple days and they just wanted to keep him separate, and will fly him down when he's ready (hopefully sometime today). No Pito would be such a dagger.

You think the Sox have to sweep the first 2 in Houston to win the series? Me thinks not. If the Sox win 1 of the first 2 games in Houston, they're in pretty good shape. I do agree, however, that the first 2 games are definitely key, and if the Sox fall down 0-2, they're in a world of trouble.
