  1. Amazingly lucky. That pitch pissed me off so GD much. Astros hitters suck inside. They hit our best player in the fucking wrist yesterday. Pitch those fuckers INSIDE the rest of the series. Maybe hit a guy or two in the process. I am sick and fucking tired of our best players getting hit and pitched in our their hands, and the Sox not doing the same. I am not saying to throw at guys. I am saying bust those cheaters in on their hands where they're at their worst anyway. IF one gets away, oh well. We know the feeling. Maybe that'll get them to throw out over the plate.
  2. I don't even know who I prefer at this juncture. Let's get through today first. Hopefully with a W. Results vary from a pretty damn good position, to on life support. I like the former.
  3. Because he was a well above average baseball player the last couple months? That may be a valid reason. Also, if you forgot, our 2nd basemen got hurt and then traded for pennies on the dollar for a dude that might throw 1 inning this playoffs? Another reason.
  4. Nothing like a Sox playoff game thread getting sidetracked by some Cubs discussion. Who cares!!!
  5. What I have heard is that Kimbrel wanted to stay in Chicago because of his daughter's health issues. HOWEVER - the Cubs also took the best deal. No way anyone was offering better than Madrigal + Heuer.
  6. He should be, but I am sure it is Vaughn.
  7. Huh? Leury has been a much better right handed hitter in his career. Right handed: .287/.315/.380 Left handed: .247/.297/.356
  8. Just go get a nice comfortable victory tomorrow and let’s head to Chicago with HFA. We were never winning both of these and this game ended up as bad as it looked on paper.
  9. Some better at bats last couple inning at least. This game has been over since Brantleys hit in the 4th.
  10. Yeah I definitely let Reylo finish the 6th and bring him out again for the 7th if he does successfully. I guess these guys haven’t pitched in awhile.
  11. Probably just let Reylo mop this up unless Sox score some runs. What a disappointment. Gotta get tomorrow. That’s the bottom line now. But let’s score some runs today first.
  12. Yeah absolutely need to keep it at 3-0 here.
  13. Gah. Really wanted one there. Need Lance to hold em right there
  14. Alright boys. Need a crooked number. Let’s do it. Starts with you, TA!
  15. Eye test when Sheets had played 1B is…….not good. Jose a MUCH better option. Is what it is tho. Let’s get it!
  16. Will this link work for tomorrow’s game?
  17. Ugh Sheets at 1B is a big no from me. Definitely would take my chances with Vaughn over risking a crucial error from Sheets who has proven to be a poor 1B.
  18. Can you send link to presser?
  19. Doesn't life get tiring finding ways to always focus on the negatives or worst outcomes? Enjoy this man! Who knows how many chances at this we'll get before this window closes.
  20. Yep.
  21. If anyone gets a link to the press conference, please post.
  22. My biggest issue with TLR was early in the season when he quite simply didn't know the rules on multiple occasions, and continutally put the Sox in a position to fail. He improved in late May-mid July, and post ASG - the Sox were more focused on health and rest than pushing a lead that was already a pipe dream for anyone to catch up. I give TLR a solid B on the season. The bolded is spot on.
  23. I think it really depends on how the games in Houston go. But I think Cease is the favorite to pitch game 3. Carlos goes in game 3 if Sox are up 2-0 and they can afford a short start, or game 4 if Sox up 2-1. Any other scenario, I think its Lynn, Giolito, Cease, Lynn, Giolito.
  24. Disagree on that. Billy has game changing speed. We've seen it plenty this season. Eloy also shouldn't be in LF at all, but since the Sox seem married to that for now, Billy 100% has a role and it definitely isn't a waste of roster spot.
