Smith did well aquiring players that cost 0$ this year. Berizan for 4th rounder good move when this team scores less than anybody. Eastwood, slower than mollasses but good on the P.K.(which is good this year) and free from St. Louis. Nathan Dempsey, starting to put puck on net playing on first D-line, waivers from Toronto. Guys that cost zip Smith can get anything else not allowed. I said it on the show this week, but I think a realistic trade for the Hawks is to aquire somebody like Geoff Sanderson, cost you little in return, he can play defence a lick but he know how to score. Beyond that if you have heard of the guy before, you won't get him in a trade. The only young player I'd possibly give up is Bell, and McCarthy forgot what got him to the NHL, but that's me.

Guilty of over simplifing troop casualties in WW II, to make a different and not relevent point and for that I appoligize. I intended no slight on any troops, if anything quite the opposite, I lost a grandfather in the WW II and therefore I felt that all those who fought were being overlooked in statements like, "we bailed their asses out twice, that's good enough".
