cushy government jobs are whats killing this country...government jobs provide neither a sale of goods or repair of said goods which means they provide nothing to help the economy....all they do is suck money right out of the economy..back around 92-93 goverment jobs passed up manufacturing jobs in this country...that wasnt a good thing Hell if I don't agree. I'm am however, overpaid for two of them here in Canada?

In no particular order, hockey has too many teams, too many games, to much playoffs, not enough talent, a .62 Canadian dollar, too many s***ty players on s***ty teams, Gary Bettman, the Ney York Rangers, The Detroit Red Wings, too high ticket prices, a very ignorant majority of major pro sports media, I'm sure I could go on but you get the point. They will have to have a salary cap and figure a way to stop the (according to Brett Hull) 75% of the players are over paid. It's worked really well in some U.S. markets and horrible in others, give up on the ones that don't work.

Canada's giving a lot to Africa this year too, must be a trend. The U.S. is borrowing a ton this year though aren't they, that probably will suck for the economy, I'm guessing(I don't really know).

Cushy government jobs are the answear, got two of them and I am not a High School graduate. Pardon me if I'm ignorant here but aren't engineering jobs plentiful. I know the university near by is giving away money to heve people become engineers(granted this is in Western Canada) but I thought it was a job in demand.

Poor Royce. His contract didn't make him that poor He's gotten so much flack for his performance while he was with the Sox, and it's really unfortunate, unfortunate he was with the Sox IMO. His average in 2 years with the Sox was .260, with 16 HR and 90 RBI (in the #9 hole, keep in mind)In the nine hole where he was piped fastballs because he is an easy out, or in May June an automatic out. He had a fielding percentage of almost 99%, the Comiskey score keeper is and was a boob and saved many runs with plays that shortstops before him wouldn't have made (like Mike Caruso, ugh)Caruso sucks and so does a SS who throws very weakly and doesn't like to move more than 2 feet for a ball, Clayton doesn't make plays that really good SS's do and didn't win us games on D. Sure, he struck out a bit much ummm. yeah(135 in those 2 seasons), but he wasn't nearly as bad as some people make him sound. Compare his K's (in 2001 and 2002 combined) to Magglio (147), Frank (127 in a little more than 1 season), Paulie (161), and Carlos (158).why they are good hitters, who his for more power and average Hell, Ray struck out almost that much every year. Sure, Royce was no A-Rod or Jeter (or even Tejada or Nomar understatement of the century, but he did what he was brought in for -- to solidify us defensively up the middle. I hoped he wouldn't screw player's ex's and might wear cleats in the dugout possibly hit more that .91 for the first month, but maybe we have a different understanding of what he was brought in for. The Sox did poorly in 2001 and 2002, but it wasn't because of Royce Clayton he certainly contributed, as much as some of you would like to make him the scapegoat. you started this thread and this s***(oh I swore does that make me stupid? I didn't ever hear anyone say that Royce was the reason we lost 81 games last year, but he didn't make us better in hindsight, at least you Clayton boys can admit that?
