Secret game 2 starter/opener?

Vaughn is a passable corner OF and looks better at 1B than Sheets IMO, whereas Sheets really shouldn’t play anywhere but DH in meaningful games. His lefty power is definitely valuable for this RH heavy lineup. You can keep both around and make it work. Burger is a great story but unfortunately he just has no real path to the bigs here.

I would be very happy to see NYY and LAD not advance past the WC game. Not going to predict but would love other teams & cities to get some post season attention. Except Houston, fuck them.

I will be rather surprised if it’s not Giolito in Game 1. Sox have no reason to announce it this far ahead however.

If the offense shows up, Sox take the series IMO - if they can avoid beating themselves with stupid defense, bad base running, poor dugout decisions, etc. I have faith the pitching can hold down the Stros bats for three games.

I am disappointed by the 2nd half, but wouldn't dub the entire season a disappointment by any means. They could and should have HFA in at least the ALDS, but it is what it is. They are healthy and going into the playoffs on a bit of a hot streak with an AL Central banner to their name; the rest is water under the bridge at this juncture.
