  4. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Mar 9, 2017 -> 02:32 PM) Gio has the curve and change working, but his fastball command isn't good right now. He is definitely not as sharp as he was in his last outing so far.
  5. Chris Owings solo homer off Giolito ties it at 1.
  6. Bloop single by Davidson gets Melky home. 1-0 Sox top 1.

  16. Anderson lead off single, but stranded at 1st.
  17. 1-2-3 top of the 1st for Fulmer!
  18. Strike 3 on Moncada was a very generous call. He worked a walk to my eyes.
  19. Damns. Moncada Ks on a pitch inside. Ballgame.
  20. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Mar 6, 2017 -> 05:15 PM) f***ing internet connection completely skipped over his AB. Did he double? Yes. RBI double to the wall, bounced over.
  21. woof. Sox defense has been bad today.
  22. I love Hawk because I grew up on Hawk, and he is an all time great. But as a broadcaster he is way past his prime. He is only hurting his great legacy by continuing on IMO. Benetti is a fine broadcaster. He isn't Hawk. But that shouldn't be held against him. Filling Hawk's broadcasting shoes is a tall task no doubt. Could Benetti use some old school baseball broadcasting flavor? Sure. But I am willing to let him continue to grow into the job before completely writing him off.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jan 3, 2017 -> 10:44 AM) As things currently stand, I think some of you guys are going to be disappointed with how the Sox play this. The offseason still has a long way to go. There are still a bunch of a FA available, which makes guys like Frazier / Melky / Lawrie more difficult to move. Perhaps once the FA pool continues to dwindle, we'll see a market develop for those guys, and they're ultimately moved. But if Frazier, Melky, Lawrie, Abreu and Quintana are on the team in April, I fully expect the Sox to try to compete. Stop gap OF, DH and C signed. Still plenty of options for the first two. Lawrie plays everyday at 2B until he gets hurt or Moncada pushes him to bench. Saladino (if healthy) is the super sub. The young arms come up in June. Sox to reassess in late June, and move the impending FAs at that point if they're out of the race. Honestly, at this point, that is what I expect. This is my fear as well.
