If Ishbia is willing to pay for it, that is possible although given JR's long standing belief that MLB players aren't worth what they are being paid I don't consider it likely.

I'm guessing it will be more along the lines of what the release said, "capital investments" aka money for a new stadium (and I'm guessing it will be a lot more than the 200 million JR is supposedly willing to contribute...)

The one note that causes me concern was the statement in the release that the Sox said there's no assurance any such transaction will occur.

He'll spend even less and order more payroll reductions due to the uncertain status of the 2027 season.

Ego.

Some good news at least although 2029 is still a long way away to see this franchise continue to be awful.

3-16 in one run games. That really is incredible, you'd think the law of averages would kick in and they'd win a few. Wonder what the worst record for a season in one run games is.

Yet another hip flexor injury to a White Sox player.

Any player worth a damn is going to say they are OK, I know I was concussed in a game badly, to this day I still have no memory of what was going on from Friday night to Monday night but I played the next week. My point is you don't just take his word for it, you have him examined by the team doctor or trainer and get that second opinion to be sure. Now, if in fact, the Sox did this, then that leads credence to what fathom posted, that the Sox mishandled yet another injury situation. PTATC you've got to admit, history shows they have had a number of questionable decisions in these matters, Robert himself immediately comes to mind having him play basically swinging with one arm a few years ago.

Just amazing the split this year. When they win a game it is usually a blowout...when they lose it is usually by one run. Very strange.
