  1. How? The last few years, the Bears have rarely had any prime time games. Unless you meant the opposite situation of the Bears right now, in which case I'd agree.
  2. Levine: Industry source says "White Sox are serious about Harper/Machado"
  3. What does Fangraphs define as high leverage? What I see on bbref is a career .882 OPS in low leverage, .855 in medium leverage, and .862 in high leverage
  4. Nobody is offended, we're just pointing out that what you're saying is demonstrably untrue. Yes, he is a solid hitter. Yes, he is a poor defender. Yes, he is a good clubhouse guy. But "he doesn't hit when it matters" is just flat out wrong. His career OPS by leverage is remarkably consistent. His month by month career splits show that he is an above average hitter in every month of the season. You saying he can't hit "when it matters" is just the manifestation of some weird bias against him.
  5. I also think Corbin likely winds up there, but wouldn't the bolded have resulted in a fine/warning?
  6. I disagree. It's not hard to convert when you're facing prevent defense as early as the 2nd quarter. He made some nice throws but there's a reason he's 5-47 against teams with winning records.
  7. team control 2019 and 2020, arb years I believe
  8. That said, the streak is over
  9. If you're crazy, I'm insane, because I think a healthy Luis Robert has as high of a ceiling as any prospect in baseball not named Vlad
  10. Wouldn't we be concerned about Martes' elbow too?
  11. This sort of pokes a hole in the generally accepted idea here that Garcia has no trade value. Which I believed as well.
  12. On August 15th- in the article, Rosenthal states that we were aware of his condition at the time of the discussions. Guess that means we would've done it anyway?
  13. https://theathletic.com/646072/2018/11/10/rosenthal-astros-had-trade-in-place-for-bryce-harper-in-july-but-nats-ownership-said-no/
  14. I get where you're coming from but I wouldn't put Senzel in the same category as those 3. He's pretty close to the Vlad/Eloy tier of prospects. I don't even know if Madrigal/Gonzalez/Rutherford is a fair offer for him. But I understand why you wouldn't want to trade prospects in the first place.
  15. I think that says more about the posters than it does about Hahn...
  16. Sign Harper, then trade Madrigal, Gonzalez, and Rutherford for Senzel. Future outfield would include 3 of Harper/Eloy/Robert/Basabe/Adolfo/Walker with 1 at DH, and we’d have our third basemen of the future. Not sure if the Reds would accept that though.
