  1. Thank god. I've been calling for this since the day we signed him.
  2. I predict we lose the Sale game, lose the Quintana game, win the TBA game. Because White Sox.
  3. QUOTE (coco1997 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 03:13 PM) This may be a dumb question, but is it really a one year deal if we sign him in June? I assume it's only until the end of the season, right? You assume correctly
  4. The Sox now have two former MVPs on the team in Rollins and Morneau
  5. Chicago White Sox ‏@whitesox 1m1 minute ago “Justin provides us with a quality veteran threat from the left side who fits into the middle of the batting order.” – Rick Hahn
  6. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 03:05 PM) I can think of million reasons why he doesn't. What I hate is what his swing probably is now
  7. doesn't he hate us
  8. per Sox twitter
  9. QUOTE (chisox802 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 02:58 PM) Take it for what it's worth, but heard from my buddy who works for sox & bulls that expect a Morneau signing announcement today or tomorrow. I sure hope not...
  10. Why Danish? He hasn't even been decent this year
  11. QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 11:48 PM) Pfft...that one only cost what...$250K? ($5M/20 starts left if healthy)? We have another $20 MILLION OF THIS to look forward to while we continue to have ZERO hit/run scoring power. Because "innings eater". Alright, you can relax, he's not gonna pitch fewer than 3 innings in every start.
  12. Random thought, but I totally see Jonathan Lucroy on the White Sox by the end of the month.
  13. QUOTE (BrianAnderson @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 03:53 PM) So over this 2-10 stretch or whatever it's been I've stayed away from betting against the Sox. I find it fun to gamble, but generally stay away from my own teams because it really takes the fun out of a win if I bet against them. During this time however I have bet against them twice --- the two NYM wins. This matchup looks terrible for the Sox, therefore I'm betting the Nats. Get ready for a win tonight Chicago. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) Sacrificing your cash to the baseball gods. I've found when I bet against the Sox they tend to win as well. Crazy s***. Take one for the team, guys. Bet against the Sox every game and we'll make the playoffs
  14. Game 58 Nast Nats @ Pale Hoes (Tuesday) Eaton (4): Avi (3): Cabrera (3): Frazier (1): Abreu (1): Condor13, Jose Abreu Lawrie (3): Saldino (5): Coats (7):
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 03:51 PM) Does this mean that they'll be adding another OF soon? Don't think so. Cabrera/Shuck/Eaton/Jackson/Garcia currently on the roster.
  16. Good lineup today, actually.
  17. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/740284007640764416
  18. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 04:36 PM) Yeah an A ball guy we picked up off the scrap heap might actually get a look with the big club this year. Says a lot about our minor league system. He's in AAA, but yes
  19. At this point, even Nick Delmonico could be a better DH option than Rollins.
  20. QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 11:31 AM) 2012 LgAvg Slash: .255/.319/.405/.724 2012 Sox Slash: .255/.318/.422/.740 Now THIS team: 2006 Slash: .280/.342/.464/.806 That team could hit. I was more referring to the 2012 team's 4.62 runs per game (4th in AL) and 211 home runs (3rd in AL).
  21. QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 11:06 AM) I think not being able to assemble a hitting team in a decade is another reason to be canned. 2012
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 11:07 AM) That is half an inning more, and it will go up once he isn't pinch hit for in the American League. You can see that pretty clearly in his pitches per start numbers and his IP/Start in the NL vs AL. And the number is also skewed due to the one disastrous start, given that the season is still young and each start greatly impacts the average.
