  1. Josh Nelson ‏@SSS_joshnelson 17h17 hours ago Chicago, IL In 2015, the White Sox hit 22 HR's in 31 Spring Training games So far in 2016 (6 games), the White Sox have hit 12 HR's.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 06:52 AM) Cullimore? FAIL! Just kidding. I grant you a pass. You may proceed posting as a non-bandwagoner, now. Do I count as a non-bandwagoner when I started watching all sports in 2nd grade (including hockey), although that happened to be in 2006/2007?
  3. I think the recent extension of Kyle Baun means that Jonathan Toews' and Duncan Keith's days in Chicago are numbered. This is the end, folks.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) I'm going to the game in SA on Thursday. It'd be nice to see a healthy Bulls team put up a fight. they usually show up against the spurs
  5. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 09:15 AM) How? The 2015 Blue Jays had very good pitching. They allowed the 5th fewest runs in the AL. Aside from Price, their starters were horrible (like our 2006 starters) by non-ERA stats such as FIP. They heavily relied on offensive contributions from Donaldson, Encarnacion, Bautista, Tulowitzki, Revere, Martin, etc, like we relied on our offense in 06.
  6. 2006 was on the pitchers for sure. Buehrle had a 5 ERA, Vazquez was horrible... they were all pretty bad. Then, on the other hand, you get 16 HR/.295 BA from Pierzynski, .313/35/113 from Konerko, .281/18/67 from Iguchi, 21/71 from Uribe, .283/30/94 from Crede, 40 SB's from Podsednik, .315/44/120 from Dye, .288/42/109 from Thome, .285 in 304 PA from Cintron, .290 in 290 PA for Mackowiak, .328 in 203 PA for Ozuna, .327 in 167 PA for Gload... such a stacked team offensively, but horrible pitching. Reminds me of the 2015 Blue Jays, to some extent.
  7. This winter weather today is HORRIBLE. 60 degrees and sunny in early March? Unacceptable.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 08:03 AM) It's really incredible how Hahn was able to make all these moves and not give up the draft picks. The Jackson move caps off a fascinating, yet productive offseason. Kudos to Hahn. I would've been annoyed had we given up assets in yet another trade- the free agent market was where we needed to strike and that's where he struck. Can't blame him if this team flops.
  9. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 10:14 PM) Could Austin Jackson start for any other team in our division? Kansas City (would have to be RF though), Detroit (over Maybin/Gose), Cleveland (while Brantley is out)... basically any team but Minnesota. edit- lots of posters beat me to it- I'd say no to Minnesota because Rosario is probably better
  10. QUOTE (daggins @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) Also one of Shuck / Fields / May, so 4. My bad, misinterpreted
  11. QUOTE (daggins @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 07:45 PM) I would agree with this. More bench pieces could be added, but right now i'd go with 3B/SS/2B - Saladino LF/RF/1B - Sands / Avi (prefer Sands) CF/LF/RF - Shuck / Fields / May C - Avila Well, by my count, that's a 6-man bench (counting just one of Sands/Avi), and that would leave us with a 5 man 'pen...
  12. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 06:21 PM) Based on streamers projections if Sox run melky, Jackson and eaton for most of your everyday outfield is only putting up 32 homeruns combined. Better be hope Frazier can adjust to the AL and Laroche bounces back cause the sox need those big bats to produce. 32 seems conservative. They combined for 35 last year, and Melky/Jackson could easily hit more than they hit last year. I'd guess 41. 14 (again) from Eaton, 15 from Melky, 12 from Jackson
  13. Seeing Rollins over Saladino still makes me roll my eyes... I mean, I know that's what will probably happen, but I think Saladino will have a much better year
  14. I feel like Eaton would be better suited in LF than RF, but Melky would be a nightmare in... well, either
  15. Eaton Cabrera Abreu Frazier LaRoche Lawrie Jackson Catchers Saladino/Rollins Or does Jackson bat 2nd?
  16. Every time Butler left the floor, Houston went on a huge run. People do not realize how much his absence affected us.
  17. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 5, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) First game I've watched in quite some time. That was a fun 1St half. A lot of solid ball movement. Has it just been injuries that are holding the Bulls down?....Or is the Rockets D that bad? both, probably
  18. QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 5, 2016 -> 02:08 PM) CarGo stuff is bull. Sox interest in Bruce isn't that high. They are working on something though. Harper?
  19. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Mar 4, 2016 -> 10:18 PM) WGN news Dan Roan is reporting that the Sox are close to a deal that will send Carlos Gonzalez to the Sox Really? I don't see this anywhere online
