Jose Abreu

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 02:02 PM) More Beckham in the 2 hole, Gillaspie batting lower in the line up, and Flowers catching Only a matter of time before Beckham's batting 8th for St. Louis, Gillaspie's hitting higher, and Pierzynski's catching

QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 10:27 PM) Any word on if Conor will be back before the all-star break? Can't tell if this is sarcastic. He was 3-4 today with a HR and a 2B.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 11:27 AM) What a waste of posts. Why would the Sox trade Quintana. He is a staple for this rotation signed and cost-controlled, much like Sale. They are part of the future. Stupidest thing we could do is move Q right now. No one is going to offer anything near the astronomic cost it would take for it to be a smart move for the franchise. Exactly. You don't trade a pitcher with a 3.20 ERA who you have recently signed to a very team-friendly contract. Same goes for Petricka, he's been lights out. The only players on the MLB roster I'd consider trading are Danks, Noesi, Rienzo, Carroll, Belisario, Beckham, or De Aza.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 11:53 AM) Awesome that his parents will be there! They haven't been to a game yet have they? All we know is that he has seen them once since their arrival.

Kevin Milligan (whoever that is): Richards is the easy choice. 10 wins, an ERA under 3.00, and over 110 Ks. Come on people!

Standings: Sale Richards Porcello Kluber Keuchel

Welcome!

Hector Santiago just accidentally retweeted a pro-Sale tweet.

I'm pretty scared that Richards will make a run at us. Hector Santiago has been retweeting this non-stop.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 6, 2014 -> 08:41 PM) Don't think so. I had to have hit 50. Some guy posted this snap chat on Twitter. That's currently the @whitesox story on SnapChat.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 6, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Really happy Rob Neyer, Jeff Passan and Keith Law all came to Chris's defense. I'm shocked that these guys were so vocal (well, Twitter vocal) about it.

how often do we get standings updates?

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 6, 2014 -> 08:08 PM) Tweets won't count until Thursday. From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, July 10, any tweet that includes a designated player hashtag will be tabulated as part of the overall vote total used to determine the American League and National League winners. The Final Vote will end at 4 pm ET on Thursday, July 10. my bad

FWIW tweeting #TargetSale or texting A5 to 89269 is much easier than the whitesox.com voting method

Eaton is helping out

Contact your Cub fan friends- I'll vote for Rizzo if you'll vote for Sale Or I guess Anthony Rendon, because the Sox twitter account wants him

Let's all vote for Sale the maximum # of times. Is it mlb.com?

Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan For those wondering how Josh Harrison is an All-Star and Anthony Rendon or Anthony Rizzo or a whole lot of others aren't ... I got nothing.

How is Josh Harrison an all-star?

Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 11m Clayton Kershaw: 87.1 IP, 13 starts, 10-2, 192 ERA+, NL All-Star. Chris Sale: 87.1 IP, 13 starts, 8-1, 188 ERA+, not an AL All-Star.

I'll take Alexei and Abreu, but if Sale is indeed in the final vote then we have to vote him in

Maybe he'll make final vote

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2014 -> 06:27 PM) Sale might try throwing 105 mph vs the Red Sox this week. Right at Farrell, who passed on him

This is a joke

No Sale!!
