  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:27 PM) We don't have enough power in the lineup. As soon as LaRoche bats, there is no real power threat You don't want to live with only power. How many times in the past did sox teams have to wait to hit 2 or 3 run homers in order to have any offense. The issue with this team is guys aren't getting on base or when they finally do the hitters rolling over on pitches or strike out. What this team needs clutch hitting which they are hardly getting.
  2. QUOTE (InTheDriversSeat @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 03:12 PM) http://www.csnchicago.com/channel-finder According to the above linked grid, the HD channel number for CSN+ is channel 201 on Comcast. And the SD channel number CSN+ is wherever you get CLTV. 3. After last nights game, white sox now have 5 quality starts on season. Opposing pitchers have 8 quality starts against sox. 2 each from det, cle, kc and min.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2015 -> 08:31 PM) Matt Davidson being a bust really hurts. Be nice to have more power in the lineup. Power is sporadic. You need guys with high on base and averages.
  5. It's sad when sox have 2 hitting coaches and still can't get them to hit
  6. Good thing I got his autograph now that he made it to the bigs
  7. Bullpen keeps getting better but not going to help the offense or starting pitching
  8. ROSTER MOVE: #WhiteSox have purchased the contract of LHP @CarlosRodon16 from @KnightsBaseball. http://t.co/zOt1dTLHN3 https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/590186981801402368 ROSTER MOVE: #WhiteSox have returned Jake Petricka from his injury rehab assignment at Charlotte & reinstated him from the 15-day DL. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/590187074822742016
  9. No news who's headed out, whether option, DL or DFA for #WhiteSox, who need spots for Carlos Rodon and likely Jake Petricka. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/589928532475674624
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 11:47 AM) Im about 100% sure Comcast nor Bob Grim have anything to do with an internal video replay review team or group. Thats baseball ops. Well the feeds they where getting for replay are from the chicago feeds through csn.
  11. So again its robins fault that the offense has 6 players hitting below 200. His fault that the 2014 AL ROY and 4th place finish in MVP is hitting .206. His fault that the 2 of the sox better starting pitchers are getting hit around. So having a incompetent review team is robins fault. I'm pretty sure he doesn't hire the review guys. Thats the work off either the tv group like comcast of the upper command from the white sox that puts the review guys in place. The long line of gaffes we've been viewing isnt just the 3 plus years that robin has been here but before him.
  12. I know everyone is frustrated with the team and after yesterdays debacle with not challenging everyone is trying to find a scapegoat with robin. If the team was playing well everyone would think the manager is a genius but because the team isn't playing well everyone wants to blame robin. The fact is the team isn't good right now. Robin does deserve some of the blame but it goes from the coaching staff straight down to the players. Shouldn't Vince Coleman deserve blamed for the base running blunders that he was supposed to come in and make the team better on the base paths. Shouldn't Todd Steverson and Harold Baines be blamed for the team not hitting the way they are suppose to. Shouldn't Don Cooper be blamed for the starting rotation not being better then they have been so far. Shouldn't the infield and outfield instructors be blamed for the team having bad defense sofar. Aren't the player more to be blamed when they are the ones on the field everyday playing these games and not playing up to their potential. There is some younger players on the team but there are alot of veteran players that have better track records and aren't producing what they are capable of. The sox have alot of quality talent but its not won on paper but won on the field and they aren't doing that. Clearly everything hasn't come together yet. Hopefully it does soon so we forget the bad and getting back to rooting for a team we all want to win and gives us hope.
  13. Really need to start worrying about the offense. Through today offense average down to .217 and obp at .265. 15 walks and 67ks with only 25 runs in 9 games. 2.78 runs per game. 3 players over .300, 4 players at .200+ and 6 players below .200. Not good
  14. Good reports from minors on Jake Petricka. Wouldn't officially rejoin club until Monday at earliest says Robin Ventura bc he throws Sat. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/589075560170553344
  15. White Sox lineup today at Tigers. Beckham, Soto and Bonifacio in today. http://t.co/XdCPcu15Ek https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/589063183920304130
  16. I know the slider is one of the pitches that puts alot of wear on the arm. That's why the sox were trying to get sale to cut back and go with other pitches and guessing trying to get rodon to cut back on his as well
  17. I know when sale came back last year from injury the sox were trying to get him to use less of the slider and more changeups and fastballs. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/04/14/spi...ite-sox-season/
  18. QUOTE (LDF @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 10:57 AM) dang it, i forgot about him. btw, do you think he will address the power numbers many posters love to see?? He's still pretty young but looks like alot to work on offensively. Figuring he's only hit 13 home runs in 717 plate appearances might not help.
  19. QUOTE (LDF @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 10:42 AM) imo, the sox need to suck it up and address this in the draft. obviously Davidson is not the answer for the future. need a 2 - 3 yr fix until the draft pick will be making a name for himself. They do have trey michalczewski who is their 8th top prospect at 3b
  20. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 09:04 AM) Matt Wieters and Evan Longoria I can see as targets. I can't see the sox who are trying to build up their farm system which has been horrible for a while and turn around to empty out it to get longoria. Wieters would be trade a bunch of prospects and turn around and possibly loose him after the season when he hits free agency cause his agent is boras. Would be better to go after him in the offseason when he's a free agent.
  21. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Apr 12, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) That team was the best, so many good memories. I went to that third game against the Indians in mid September when the Indians cut the division lead to 1.5 games. Probably the most depressing game I have ever attended as a Sox fan. Was also at the second to last game of the year in cleveland after the sox beat them in the first two of the series and could knock them out of the playoffs with a sweep. I remember taking the train back to my girlfriends house after the game and the Indians fans talking mad s***. They were so pissed they might not make the playoffs. Stuff like you guys aren't going to make it out of the first round of the playoffs, you guys are overrated, etc. I didn't say much at the time didn't want to start something just responded with "we'll see." Last laugh was on them The Sox were 2.5 games ahead after that Cleveland series in chicago. Sox lead was cut to 1.5 games when they were playing the twins and Cleveland was playing kc. Sept 22-24 is when sox lead was only 1.5
