QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 04:59 PM) Burns was just designated by Oakland today. He's still fairly young, has elite speed, and is a solid defender. What do you guys think? Should the Sox try and make a move for him? I think he'd be better than Shuck in CF. He was optioned not dfa

QUOTE (MDWhiteSoxFan @ Jul 13, 2016 -> 03:04 PM) DHing him could mean they use a rotating DH giving players days off from the field. Sox could be honestly using a rotating dh now with him and arent. Problem is they dont have a good bat to be backing up like a zobrist. But you look at having a true dh like ortiz thats a huge bat. Problem sox are in the middle of not having a big bat at dh or having a good bat thats on the bench.

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jul 12, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) Burdi is far from being ready. He looks like he needs at least 1 year in the minors so not before middle of next season. And with how much Fulmer has struggled in AA he needs at least another year in the minors if he's going to be a starter. If he finishes strong in AA then he can start next year at AAA and be an early call up if he has success. Look at a guy like Mengden in Oakland who basically dominated AA and AAA this year and he has only been mediocre at the major league level. It's a big step to make. Its looking like fulmer and burdi will be up this year unless they totally bomb.

Talked to scout who saw Carson Fulmer during his rough stretch (34 BB in 46 IP) & again yesterday. "Much better." MLB ready out of 'pen. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/752585832591085569

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 10, 2016 -> 12:15 AM) The important thing is he got 4 AB's for the first time.Maybe one more game and he'll start hitting. Actually its the second time hes gotten 4 at bats. Had 4 at bats on the 7th

Sox need a bat but biggest bats they can aquire is eaton and abreu hitting more to their career norms would be a huge help

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 9, 2016 -> 09:41 AM) Hopefully this is just a way to grab him an extra rest and manage his innings load. Fulmer? Fulmer one start maybe and then moved to pen when Rodon comes back

White Sox place Carlos Rodon on 15-day DL (retroactive to July 6) with sprained left wrist. Recall right-hander Tommy Kahnle. https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/751786879012462593

QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 08:06 PM) Pitchers throw on the side anyway. He can throw an inning in the All Star game and then throw Saturday or Sunday and it is extended rest. If he pitches Sunday then he will be lined up to pitch the Wednesday game vs the cubs on espn -
http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-white-so...u-will-be-ready Morneau will go to Birmingham on sunday cause Charlottes all star break starts monday. Could get 30 at bats on Wednesday and could sorta be ready for next weekends series for angels but not sure yet

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 02:12 PM) Brewers need a 3rd baseman bad since they have to rely on Will Middlebrooks and even Jake Elmore. If the Sox want to be bold they could offer Brett Lawrie or Saladino . If Brewers took Lawrie ,Saladino probably become starting 2nd baseman. Of course doubtful Lawrie alone would do it.Maybe also offer Trey M.,Courtney Hawkins. Lucroy is signed through 2016 with an option for 2017 and is still cheap . Lawrie only signed through 2016 so Sox would be gaining the extra year and better player hence the need to give the Brewers some controllable pieces also. Saladino isn't arbitration eligible until 2019 so maybe Brewers would prefer him over Lawrie. Lawrie has arbitration still in 2017 so he wont be a free agent till 2018. Anthing with lucroy would be starting with fulmer or anderson. Dont think sox are willing to give them up for a 1yr and half of control

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 09:24 AM) Sale should have 12+ Ks tonight. The Braves are comically bad. How many for flowers? Lol -
http://nypost.com/2016/07/06/yankees-prosp...-got-suspended/ The White Sox inquired on Wednesday about Yankees catching prospect Gary Sanchez. The talks never got serious when, a source in the know said, the Yankees’ asking price was “far too high.’’ The White Sox are looking for a catcher after placing Alex Avila on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury.

First two at-bats for rehabbing Justin Morneau with Class AAA Charlotte tonight--walk, single. #information https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/750845434231398400

Let me add on to the Fulmer line: He would join the White Sox as part of their 2016 bullpen https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/750821232384368641

Good stuff from the White Sox pitching coach coming soon. And let's say that Carson Fulmer is in Major League play for the second half https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/750814799144058880

Wouldn't be surprised if @idrubkcaz15_U jumps from Double-A to the White Sox IF they team decides he's ready and fits a need. https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/750415104747958272
