  1. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Nov 18, 2015 -> 06:10 PM) If you figure it, let the rest of us know please. That's twice I've seen him packaged with Sale and Eaton. Lol Even if we were to move them it'd be in seperate deals to maximize value.
  2. I just don't see us trading Q to the Cubs only to see him help them win. I could see EJ and Montas for hitting prospects.
  3. The f*** are people so quick to trade Anderson for? Let alone a package with Sale and Eaton. JFC
  4. Skimmed the article. That negative war part on LaRoche, Melky and Duke made me South Side Suicidal lol
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 18, 2015 -> 12:15 PM) And people were worried they had no plan................. To the 'ship!
  6. December 3rd then is an important date. I expect a move there. Gota add someone to sell tickets...at least I think so.
  7. I'm not buying this at all. If you believe this then you're a dummy. They know what they're going to do and who they're targeting.
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 18, 2015 -> 01:04 AM) Rabbit said 2 yrs/$16M. I had originally said I would offer him 1 yr/$7M. He signed with the A's for 1 yr/$6M. He was NEVER going to get a 2 year deal. Agreed due to his injury history/durability
  9. Freeman and Tehran. Won't happen but I'd talk. Freeman mainly.
  10. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 15, 2015 -> 03:06 PM) What kind of return do you think Eaton brings??? I would think he would return 1 MLB ready player and a prospect. But you open up a major hole w CF and leadoff. Assuming Thompson can fill those roles is too much a gamble. Now trading Q or Rodon should bring 2 MLB ready players + prospects. It's a silly and stupid idea. Eaton is our second best hitter and is a good left handed lead off hitter. Trading him opens up another hole (2 really because now ya need a lead off hitter). We need to ADD hitters not subtract.
  11. Robertson isn't getting that return and I'm not moving him. It's nice having a legit closer. Don't need a '14 repeat.
  12. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) Dan Hayes to be on 890 wls shortly to talk sox. Any tidbits?
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) You have written time and time again that Eatin isn't as good as his numbers and the Sox should build around Trayce Thomps, who, ironically, isn't as good as his numbers. Giggity
  14. Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun reports that if Mark Buehrle decides to return for another season, it would be for the St. Louis Cardinals. The veteran southpaw, who will turn 37 in March, has hinted that he'd return for a 17th major league season if he was able to find a guaranteed contract. According to Elliott, the only team he's interested in pitching for would be the Cardinals, his home town team. In the wake of Lance Lynn's season-ending injury, there could be a potential fit. 15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 11:02 AM) I sure wish the Sox had the opportunity to repair Hudsons UCL two times. However, I dont want the Sox to throw Adams into any deal right now, I do agree with Greensox on that matter. I don't either to be honest.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 08:28 AM) Losing Daniel Hudson was a devastating blow to the White Sox. One in which they are still trying to recover. Once again, hero worshipping probably cost the White Sox 2 or 3 playoff appearances. Oh the horror!
  17. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 08:22 AM) Sure throw in Adams. i.e. ravage the farm for 2 years of Cargo. The same kind of move as sending our top pitching prospect for Edwin Jackson. It gets the sox nowhere. Much prefer signing FA if fans must have a hero security blanket. Or if we must have Cargo (don't know why) prefer to send Q rather than our 2-5 prospects. The deal is for more than cargo JFC. This team isn't signing a $100 mil OF according to the media. This deal would get us our impact bat, a plus defender in Mahieu and an awesome hitting 3B prospect. That's why we're in the trade market.
  18. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 02:58 AM) I would do that deal, but I don't think the Rockies would. There is no high-floor player in that group. Some nice ceilings in there, but nothing you can count on becoming an average major leaguer. I don't think they would give up 2 currently producing major leaguers, and a top prospect, for a bunch of "could be good" type guys. I mean, Erik Johnson is the surest player they get back, and he was GARBAGE pretty recently. You could tweak the package. Throw in Danish or Adams or something like that.
  19. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 01:36 AM) Thanks Well, let's isolate a trade for him. He's obviously blocked. he's the guy we should look at. Montas? E JOhnson? Cargo hit .238 in 2014. You just don't know what you're getting with some of these guys. Expecting 2015 is howling at the moon, especially with the Sox luck with "sluggers" Le Maheiu had OPS in the mid .600s in 2013 and 14. Lucky BAPIP last year. So you just look at his avg and not his 16 HR 36 RBIs? His road splits are better than LaRoches whole season and damn near better than Avi's season. Hell go back to '13. CarGo hit better on the road including about 60 avg points better. I'm not saying he isn't helped by Coors statistically but he's no slouch on the road.
  20. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 01:02 AM) No, although I don't know anything about McMahon. LaMaheiu had a career year with a 360 BAPIP. Zero interest in trading good prospects for Coors Field Cargo Much rather trade E Johnson for a young 3B or C and keep Montas, Trey and Micah. You know I'm sure the Jays were too worried about getting Coors Field Tulo. These guys are good hitters period. CarGo still hit 16 HR and 36 RBI on the road his avg is only .243 but he still would be a fine addition to the lineup. We'd also be upgrading 2B and have a 3B slugger waiting in the wings until '17 or '18. I don't think that's a bad deal at all.
  21. How about: Sox get CarGo, LaMahieu and McMahon Rockies get Montas, Erik Johnson, Micah Johnson, Avi and Trey M.
  22. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 11:38 PM) he is, but market value of bullpen stoppers (not necessarily closers) steadily rising. I also wonder if San Diego didn't get more back for Kimbrel than they gave for him. They got more from what I read. They did really well.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 11:15 PM) Not according to some people on here... I've seen a few members on this website that think Sale is worth very little. It makes no sense to me. They're delusional then.
  24. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 09:54 PM) Trading both of them would turn the farm system for the Sox from one of the worst in baseball to one of the best. I'm just curious. Not that I'd do it. It certainly would improve the team offensively and defensively but it'd kill the staff.
  25. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 10:18 PM) Not a big fan of that Dickerson trade. I mean, we don't give up a ton, but he also showed a lot of reason to be cautious about Dickerson. I love the LeMahieu (sp?) deal, which is probably why the Rockies wouldn't make it. The Cargo deal seems fair if the Rockies toss in $8-10M to go along with CarGo. I could see us doing a blockbuster deal with them for Cargo and a couple prospects.
