  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 04:54 PM) Sox will not deplete the rotation like that. Hince the crazy trade of Quintana along with Shark.
  2. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) ok i am caught up.... damn the sox lost the first game. Shock you? This lineup sucks. I'm just ready for the deadline to come and pass and see where we stand.
  3. Two trades: Shark to the Astros for OF Brett Phillips and a low level prospect Quintana to the Cubs for C Schwarber + 2 lower prospects
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 04:02 PM) DH? Bryant is a must in any deal with the Cubs Absolutely.
  5. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/mlb-non...id=485919811822 Scroll down to the White Sox
  6. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 07:36 AM) Per Rosenthal: One rival executive says he expects the White Sox to make a big offer to right-hander Jeff Samardzija in an attempt to keep the team's starting pitching intact long term. I'm fine with that also, but I would rather move him and sign him in the offseason though.
  7. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 16, 2015 -> 11:24 PM) Thanks for the kind words boys. Good interview man! Well done.
  8. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 16, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Well if they weren't going to trade him by tomorrow, there really is no rush. Best player available. Nothing wrong with stockpiling young pitching...can move it for young hitting as well. Sox don't have that much pitching anyway. In fact, now that Montas is called up, they don't have a top prospect pitcher anywhere near the majors (I'm discounting E Johnson; his stats are so good, that to have not been called up tells me they don't think he can beat major league hitting). No reason to trade him ASAP. Take it to the deadline. Let the bidding get hot.
  9. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 16, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) Indeed. Esp. When you consider at some point in the near future the Sox could run Sale-Rodon-Q-Fulmer-EJ out there for a few years. We've gotta find some hitters. Need to help Abreu out.
  10. I hope we trade Shark for a hitter. We don't develop hitters well, so I'd like to see us trade him for one.
  11. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 05:49 AM) The idea that you think the Sox would sign a "big ticket pitcher" is also laughable. Ya I know lol but it's me being hopeful.
  12. Sucks that we could have such good pitching in the future yet no hope for a good lineup.
  13. Trading Sale is laughable. He's a young ace and cost controlled. Add in a young Rodon, solid Q. This team can move on from Samardzija and sign a big ticket pitcher to add to the rotation of Sale, Q and Rodon. Sale is too young and too good to just trade away. The asking price would be astronomical. Has to be because of how good he is and cost controlled.
  14. Trading sale to the Cubs is crazy. Trading him period is crazy. But the conversation would begin with Kris Bryant.
  15. I sure hope so but its very unlikely. This team is sucking all around now.
  16. Offense doesn't get going til the 8th anyways
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2015 -> 06:47 AM) 13 IP, 4 H, 18 K's and .095 BA on the road in two starts so far this year. No runs given up yet. On the plus side, he had a 4.87 ERA, gave up more hits than IP, 9 hrs and a .272 BAA on the road in 2014. In other words, he's due to give up some runs
  18. Going for 7 in a row. Offense needs to explode tonight.
