QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Just seems like a long shot to become a legit prospect. Career .214 hitter who strikes out a ton with minimal in-game power. July 2nd guys are always a crapshoot, and it seems he might have been more workout warrior than anything else. To be honest, I just hope he turns into Joey Gallo light.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) So Adolfo just isn't good, is he? Some bad offense all around http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS He's like 19 man and coming off an injury. He's been injured a lot. Patience man with him...patience.

Sucks losing but this team isn't going anywhere. Hearing Hahn talk made me feel a little better about the direction. Like maybe we actually have one for once. So best not give any false hope to management with a fraudulent winning streak.

White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers

@jonmorosi Sonny Gray trade becoming doubtful. Incredibly difficult for #Athletics and suitors to properly value him with a 5.49 ERA. This should help the Q trade. One less arm on the market if he's not dealt. -
QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 08:57 PM) Abreu's OPS+ is 103 this season. He is still a good hitter, but unfortunately a shell of his 2014-self. To call him one of the worst players on the team is just dumb. Agree and it's silly.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) Bwhahahahhaaha. Uh... No. You're f***ing kidding me, Phil. Yea, sorry - thank you for playing. Keep trying. Then you suggest a one for one swap? A proven front line cheap and controllable player for an unproven minor league guy? Get outta here with that crap! I can't believe he gets paid to come up with this nonsense. Lol like I said the first and the Boston one. Like he gets paid for this drivel???! -

I'll take another stab at this. Q to Boston for 2B Moncada, OF Benintendi, C Swihart and 3B Devers. (Bad enough seeing Q on the Red Sox but I'd hate to have to see those assholes get Sale. Plus I'd wana send him to the NL) Sale, Robertson to LAD for CF Pederson, LHP Urias, RHP De Leon, C Barnes, and RHP Yadier Alvarez. (Pure stab at this deal. No clue what CWS turned down and want. Now WSD said short of Trout in return lol. So I brought back a potential superstar CF in Joc, potential frontline LHP in Urias who has only scratched the surface, De Leon another potential frontline starter, Barnes a catching prospect which we need badly along with Collins and Alvarez who can hit 98 a power arm prospect). Frazier to NYM for RHP Marcos Molina, OF Brandon Nimmo, and LHP Max Wotell (I just have this feeling he's going to the Mets. Wright is hurt again and this makes a ton of sense). Brett Lawrie to MIA for 2B Avery Romero and 1B Josh Naylor (Lawrie's value intrigues me. Hard to find. Spot to a contender. Can play third and is still very young. Flashed some really nice defense at times). Jose Abreu and Nate Jones to HOU for 1B Reed, RHP Francis Martes, and 2B Tony Kemp Melky Cabrera, James Shields and Chris Beck to TEX for 3B Joey Gallo (with a G not a C sorry had to because I saw a my cousin vinny reference the other night) and RHP Ariel Jurado So that's mine I made the other night on MLB the show. So all in all I think it's pretty good. I'm sure someone will find issues but this is the fun part. Critiquing our ideas. Wasn't sure on some values and returns on guys. That really has to be in the ball park of the Sale trade if it ever happened. Now this season we'd finish awful and be awful for at least another season while guys developed and came up and went through struggles. Hopefully around 2019 we'd start to compete. I really want to be patient and not rush guys during a rebuild. Take lumps and losses and continue to draft high and well which I think we've been doing fairly well. Then with some luck well competing around 2019 and have a stocked up farm system to add to the talented young roster via trade. Then hoepfeully this is a destination free agents we'll see as a future contender like Cubs have done. Imagine if guys developed in our rotation and was something like Rodon, Urias, De Leon, Fulmer, and Adams. Then there's other guys like Guerrero, Martes, Molina, Hansen, Stephens, Burdi. Mix and match how you want with this whole group. Then a lineup of something like this: SS Anderson RF Eaton CF Pederson 1B/DH Collins 2B Moncada 1B/DH Reed 3B Gallo C Swihart or Barnes LF Benintendi Mix and match the lineup how you like. I think Anderson will be a middle of the order bat once he matures. Good pop and lively bat with awesome speed. For now I'll keep him lead off and like Eaton behind him. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) One of these days people will quit clicking on things that link to Phil Rogers. I don't usually read bus stuff but I was bored but intrigued by what value he had coming back. -

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 09:51 PM) Some of those were absolutely laughable I know right? The first one was awful but the one for one Q got Benintendi made me facepalm. -

Don't have the link. I'll look it up. Phil Rogers now came out with a rebuild article. Some of his deals were horrendous for Quintana. Looking it up now. Edit: http://m.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article/190...quintana-trade/ Really seems like big moves are ahead. Everyone's talking and writing about the rebuild. I think we're finally gona see one. Patience will be key. Can't f***ing rush the process like in 2015. Stay the course, take your lumps and try to build a perennial contender. KW needs to sit back and let Hahn do this rebuild if he's going to keep him. I feel like Hahn has been hamstrung at times. -

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 09:33 PM) Agreed. The Sox need to get at least 1 top of the line starting pitcher if they're moving both Sale and Q. Getting Urias back would be a start. -

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) Some trade thoughts. Melky Cabrera to the Giants for SP Tyler Beede and SP Adalberto Mejia Todd Frazier to the Indians for SP Tristan McKenzie, SP Rob Kominsky, and 1B Nellie Rodriguez Jose Quintana and David Robertson to the Rangers for 1B Joey Gallo, 2B Jurickson Profar, CF Lewis Brinson, and RP Keone Kela Zach Duke to the O's for SS Ryan Mountcastle Chris Sale to the Red Sox for C Blake Swihart, OF Andrew Benintendi, 3B Rafael Devers, 2B Yoan Moncada, and SP Michael Kopech Thoughts? Only thing I'd say is Q or Sale to the Dodgers and try and pry Urias -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:41 PM) Hammy for Lawrie. Hugwatch never ends with a trade. I was at the sox tigers game where Austin Jackson was pulled out in the middle of the inning. It was crazy.
-
@CST_soxvan Brett Lawrie left with tightness left hamstring. Day to day.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) Nice one. Barstool dude thinks if he was traded we would know by now. Usually we would've heard if he was hurt by now also. Maybe not. Maybe he got sick.

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) That Fielder for Kinsler trade gets more hilarious with every week I still can't believe that LOL
-
QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Who'd you get? I don't remember for who actually. I still have last seasons game so it's not completely up to date. Good hitting prospect. Not a top one or anything. I actually make them realistic. Not like I trade him for Stanton or anything lol
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:25 PM) Yep, that's the one team I was thinking of. Lawrie for D. Herrera and a pitching prospect? I traded him to Miami in MLB the show.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:24 PM) He is actually still very young That's why I mentioned keeping him in my rebuild.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:20 PM) I can, he really has been average and Saladino can now play 2B and probably wouldn't lose too much Oh I know but it's not like he's a hot commodity. I like him a lot. I think he's hurt though.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:18 PM) Quickly thinking what contenders even need a 2b/3b. Can't think of many Just by playing MLB the show I didn't see any that needed one when I was trading him. Can play third though.

Can't believe Lawrie would be the first to go

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) For now. He seems to be chomping at the bit to say something tomorrow. It's going to be a long 11 days. f*** it. I'm excited. I love my boy Q but I want him to go play for a contender. I want him to kick ass and win a ring. Same goes for Sale. They both deserve it. Glad WSD is holding back. -

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 04:31 PM) whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 9m9 minutes ago Real talk though, I have heard of a few potential trade pieces to be moved from the Sox. Haven't been given the go ahead to name players whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 8m8 minutes ago and/or teams they may be moved to. I am waiting on the go ahead. I don't want to f*** up anything Hahn may potentially be working towards whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 8m8 minutes ago this may be tomorrow or a week from now. But Chris Sale will not be moved unless Trout is involved whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 7m7 minutes ago I do think we'll know a lot more tomorrow by mid-afternoon Joey Flores @Nephew_Joey @barstoolWSD would these be considered good trades to you? whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 7m7 minutes ago whitesoxdave Retweeted Joey Flores great question, and the answer is yes. Yes they would whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 5m5 minutes ago DISCLAIMER: I am not guaranteeing a path they choose one way or another right now. Just that new avenues may be considered pre-deadline I really think today was a wake up call day and realization that they suck and quick fixed won't work. I expect some major moves from guys on our team shipped out. Like Q, Frazier, Melky, etc. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 04:10 PM) This is such a tired accusation of every Cuban player at this point. Every. Single. One. Can't trade for Moncada because he may be older than he really is!
