QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jul 19, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) I deserve to be banned for a week for this suggestion, but I truly didn't realize Puig has been this awful! Naw your punishment could be that you have to watch every AB by Avi in a sox uniform

More like Puig for Avi

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Jul 19, 2016 -> 09:02 AM) Really? Of all the scapegoats you can possibly go for you choose Robertson? Last night and the non save situation you mentioned are pretty much the only blips on his resume. He's been pretty damn good otherwise with only 1 or 2 normal hiccups along the way. You can blame a lot of things on a lot of guy's, but I don't understand how you think demoting a closer who has 3 blown saves and 2 L's on a very crappy team is going to solve anything. Trading him because the season is indeed over and we don't need a closer? That would have been a much better rant to go on... Going into last night, he was 23/25 saves with a 3.22 ERA. I b****es after the game but he's not the scapegoat for this team. Closers blow games. Even the almighty Kimbrel has blown them for Boston.

David Robertson is a fantastic closer

His fastball has been a problem all season long -
Just give a Melania Trump speech

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jul 19, 2016 -> 12:28 AM) Yeah, it's really pretty unbelievable that no one corrects that s*** he does out there. It's not surprising considering this coaching staff and scouting. Flat out clueless.

QUOTE (Real @ Jul 19, 2016 -> 12:18 AM) how long before ya'll find something else to do besides watch a s***ty baseball team? seriously, i'm trying to help you guys. lol there's no point in watching a team that's bad, and puts you in a terrible mood for the next 24 hours. I just follow along here. I like this forum. I'm also follow the young prospects like Anderson and Fulmer. That's all. Killing time before Chiefs season basically.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 11:15 PM) The Win stat makes this bad for Sale, but losses are good right before the deadline. f***ing sell, idiots. Agreed. Just like the false hope of last season

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) Nelson Cruz said he saw Navarro motion he wanted the pitch up and knew it was a bad idea because Lind is a good high ball hitter Did he throw the fastball? That's been horrible all season long. Was only half paying attention then I looked up and saw Lind crack it out.

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:45 PM) Fire Hahn, Kenny, Robin. Leave Renteria for now but let the new front office deal with him as necessary. Agree wholeheartedly. I'm now thinking if ya do that, unless you're blown away you don't trade the pieces. Probably get fair value for Melky, Robertson and Frazier but don't trust Hahn. Would just rather let the new front office do it.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:43 PM) Can Ventura now to give Renteria a tryout I'm all for it my man as you well know, but clock is ticking. Almost August.
-
I do feel for Hahn. It's like his major league moves have a black cloud surrounding them. Woof. Didn't think I'd miss Navarro. It's sad that Collins could come up and probably be our most patient hitter and best catcher.

QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) Cub fans are just dying to see the Sox "blow it up" and become bottom dwellers for the forseeable future. Admit it if that is what you want to see. The fact is that not every team that fails to make the playoffs is going to blow it up, try to get the highest Draft pick by having the worst record in baseball, and hope a budding star is available with that high pick that will turn the whole franchise around. The suggestion to trade Sale is a non-starter. He is a franchise player which means his value supersedes hos value on the field. His name is on countless fans jerseys and he has become synonymous with the White Sox. He ain't goin' nowhere. And neither is Quintana, Rodon Fulmer or Nate Jones. The pitching core stays for stability of the team and the franchise. To be honest, I could give a rat's ass about the Cubs and their fans. This is about the White Sox getting to where they can compete year in year out and have a realistic championship window.

There definitely needs to be sweeping changes throughout the organization barring a miraculous comeback from this club. Hahn has to go. He's just not doing a great job with his moves with the big league club. That's putting it kindly. I'm ok with the drafting the past few seasons, this year in particular. But something needs to happen. Need fresh outside group of faces to come in and hopefully fix this. Then fire the entire coaching staff. Hire their guys they want and begin the process of unloading our stars. Build a new core for 2018 and beyond. Punt 2017 and make it a development year for guys like Rodon, Fulmer, Burdi, Guerrero, Hansen, Anderson, Collins, Engel, Adams, and Trey. Unload our stars and trust they can make those moves correctly and build a perennial winner in the future. We can reshape this franchise with the right rebuild. I just don't see it getting any better. Hahn can't make the correct moves along with his pro scouts. This failure will cause the team to waste the careers of our core.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:26 PM) To me Peter is just another utility guy like a Saladino. I doubt he becomes a starter that can actually contribute enough May be. I'm just trying to be optimistic with this farm system since the big league club sucks. Don't mind me
-
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:46 PM) BTW, somebody needs to get drilled for Lind shooting his helmet like a basketball on his way to home plate Oh get over yourself. Get the f***ing guy out. I'm sick of pansy ass ball players. Don't want them to celebrate? Get them out.
-
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:44 PM) you might as well trade Sale before he explodes on everybody in this organization and tells everybody to f*** off!!! Geezus...how many of these f***ing games can this team possibly waste this year in the 8th and 9th inning. And these jackasses wonder why 12-14K people show up to games... I could see Sale blowing up and wanting out due to Hahn's inability to build a complete roster. What a f***ing train wreck.
-
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:44 PM) Yeah, no. I mean if Sale went out there for the 9th and walked more guys and blew it, you'd b**** about Robin.
-
QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) Blow it up. Let the kids play. So many of us have been saying this for so long. This is what it looks like to play the "go for it every year game" and perennially fail. I get more enjoyment out of younger players now anyways because this team sucks and there's no point in getting hopes up. But I can't blame tonight on Robin except the stolen base attempt by Avi. That's flat out bad. But Robertson was the right call. Sale was wild in the 8th and at 99? pitches. It's over. Goodbye. See ya later. Ovah! Now sell boys.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) Yes, I know this. That wasn't my question now. It's mind boggling how bad he is though in non save situations and how badly he blows saves when he blows them. I could handle 1-2 runs. But 3 or more is horse s***. Nail in this coffin. Begin to place guys on the block. f*** it.
-
Nail in the coffin boys. Fire the entire coaching staff after the season. Fire Hahn, Kenny and the scouts. Start fresh. Go all out for a great young group of fresh faces. Sell sell sell.
-
Fools gold. I'm just glad they're officially dead. Now SELL SELL SELL! It's so stinking obvious what to do!
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:36 PM) I feel like Robertson has been decent in saves situations but really bad in non save situations. Was this just rust? 3-0 is a save situation
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:35 PM) Also, why the hell did we steal with Avi in the 9th He's not a good base stealer. May have cost them run. Once that ball got away he probably scores
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:34 PM) And having a mediocre fastball It's been awful all year.
