The kid can steal some bases, 41 last year and not less than 30 the past two years. Get willie stealing bases like he should be (which is a mystery to me) and these two guys at the one and two hole would definately do some damage, hell bat his 3rd, uribe 2nd and harris up top and get rid of valentin at the end of the year. Not sure how much money Beltran would want for a long term deal but if its close to what Mags is asking then I'd sign Beltran. Oh yeah.... :fthecubs

I think it looks really cool, the "grungy" look is coming back in style. Admit it wouldn't you love to not have to shave for weeks at a time. I can't believe that Red Sox management is allowing him to do this but it may bring a whole new base of fans to the ball parks. (Hippies, avid hikers, bikers, etc.) Most of the world thinks of baseball players as these clean-cut nice looking guys. What Damon is doing strays far away from that and I think we should applaud him for doing this; gives baseball something good to talk about amidst the steroid crap.

ON the front page on USA Today (sports section) there is an excerpt from about "black jack" Jack Mcdowell saying how he implied that Mark Prior's slow recovery is from use of steroids. It also says its in the Chicago Sun Times and I'm not from around there so if this is old then disregard it but I though it was very funny. Jack McDowell

I was reading on here maybe last week and someone had said that we signed Sidney Ponson for a 3 year deal.... Has this deal fallen through or is just all the focus on Nomar and Williamson right now that no one cares about Sidney..
