This series is going to be really tough. Oakland may not be good but the Sox always have problems at the Col and there's no Quintana and no Sale. The best pitcher we have going in this series is going tonight, then its Danks and so-far deadass Samardzija. If they lose ground in Oakland they just have to make it up over the CLE-MIN-TOR stretch. Panic will return if the Sox lose this series or god forbid get swept, but it shouldn't.

Hard to say I enjoyed it when looking back. Even healthy it's pretty clear they would never get past LeBron.

I'm giving Thibs until the end of this game before I bury him, but this 3rd quarter is why he just isn't going to get it done.

Because when he does play its a train wreck! It's so bad! That pathetic bunt attempt, the misplays in the OF, the guy is basically clueless. I dont have a problem with anyone on this team except for him. WAR isn't the end-all but he's accumulated a -.3 WAR in 28 PA... that's remarkably efficient at being horrible.

He's bad defensively. That one ball that bounced off the wall 5 feet to the right of him, what the hell was that? He sticks out as a guy on this team (which is horrible defensively) as a particularly bad defender. You can find a guy who can replicate his uselessness offensively but at least has an arm and an average glove with ease.

For an AM station that is really bad.

I pulled 720 in Idaho. It's not crystal clear but you can make it out.

Having JB Shuck on the roster is like having 24 players on the roster. A guy who cant hit and cant defend has no place, were better off carrying a 3rd catcher because at least the temptation to let Shuck continue to hurt the team is gone.

Shuck is garbage, were better off with no 4OF than Shuck.

And JB Shuck is still on the team.

It costs more to take the train to and from the park than it does tickets right now for me. They are dirt cheap.

Rodon-Danks-Shark gives me pause too. A rookie, a luckballer and a guy who is kind of exposing himself in that building scares me. One day at a time.

It technically leaves the Sox without a backup RF but I cant imagine there's much of a difference between Shuck playing RF and Boni in RF. I'd prefer Sanchez to Coats but would be OK with either.

Shuck really has no point to being on this team.

Crane Kenney is the "source" for a lot of the Cubs propaganda on WSCR from Bernstein & Co. Probably came about when the Cubs moved to CBS Radio. The new business relationship and the access provided by Kenney has made the Cubs basically bulletproof in the eyes of that station.
