  1. 35 wins in 100 games, .350 winning pct.
  2. That’s for sure, can only hope for the best.
  3. Not sure what to expect against the Rays, will the Sox continue to swing hot bats or will the Rays with better pitching shut us down. We usually attend a Sox-Rays game if there’s a day game in the mix, not so this year plus with the Rays playing in Tampa this year it makes the trip 30+ minutes longer, it’s very easy for us to get to the Trop but not so Steinbrenner Field.
  4. How sweep it is, on to Tampa where things will be tougher but the Rays went into a funk after knocking on the door of first place, they’re fighting for a WC spot.
  5. Vargas is doing well at first, I would try Sosa at 3B, I thought he did OK there last year.
  6. Who wants this guy that he’s being showcased, put Baldwin out there damn it.
  7. I agree but Meidroth is better off at 2B but what to do with Sosa is the 64 Thousand Dollar question.
  8. Baldwin on the bench again, it has to be Getz not liking him.
  9. I hope we get to see Baldwin out there everyday, seems like they’re playing games with him. Make Beni the regular DH and put Baldwin in LF and let him swim or sink.
  10. The rest of the pitching was the pits especially the bullpen.
  11. First of all the pitching is much better than last year, league average ERA is 4.04 and the Sox are 4.10, last year we were last with a 4.67 ERA. It’s the hitting that’s killing us, last in OPS, last in BA, second to last in homers, second to last in runs and the list goes on. I thought they were in the process of turning things around with the bats in late May and June but just about all the young prospects have regressed since then. The bats have come around this weekend but we’re playing the Pirates, the Rays are up next and let’s see what they do in TB. Venable is better than Grifol which isn’t saying a lot, he’s had some bad moments but the team hasn’t quit on him and hopefully he gets better with experience. I’m optimistic like you and think the kids will also get better with experience and we should be a .500 team in 2027. Theres also the possibility that Ishiba takes over sooner than 2029 and he goes out and signs some quality free agents which could really help things along.
  12. Changing gears, why was yesterdays Cubs-Red Sox game the most sought after ticket in Cubs history?
  13. Yes! I don’t think they should trade Tauchman, he’s a pro and can only help the kids.
  14. WTF with groceries, announce the game.
  15. I’m starting to think they brought up Teel too soon. Bring up Lee as backup and let Quero get the majority of the time behind the plate.
  16. We have a lot of guys struggling right now, Meidroth, Monty, Teel, and Vargas. Monty did have 2 hits last night but they weren’t well hit.
  17. I thought maybe Schiffren would have figured things out by now, he’s a tad better than last year but only a tad. Sox fans aren’t dumb and we can see with our own eyes what’s going with Vargas and Schiffren has to stop sugar coating things. As for Stone, it’s time for a change.
  18. I’ve seen a lot of players come and go but Tommy Pham is the most intense I’ve ever seen.
  19. First inning quite a difference from last night.
