Vaughn with 3 hits last night, up to .280 BA. and .831 OPS. Of course things change fast when you have a small number of plate appearances, if he has a lousy game today he will be back near the Mendoza line with a lousy OPS, if he has a great game he will be over .300 and an OPS over 1.000. Give him at least another week.

Believe it not but the Championship game was blacked out in Chicago, my favorite uncle got us tickets to watch the game on closed circuit TV at McCormick Place.

I agree 100%, after the last 2 years I’m enjoying White Sox baseball again, this team has been very competitive and could have easily won at least 5 more games. There still are some issues that have to be addressed with guys like Robert, Vaughn and the bullpen along with hoping Montgomery puts it all together. I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. If they continue to improve maybe JR will open up the checkbook and bring in some quality free agents next year and the team could maybe make a run at a Wild Card spot. Things can change fast, I remember the 1970 White Sox who were the worst team in MLB with a 56-106 record and improved by 23 games in 1971 and almost won the division in 1972.

I doubt at his salary he stays in Charlotte all season, I guess he could be traded if someone wants him.

When Vaughn comes back Beni will probably go back to left field and Vargas to 3rd.

I was hoping for 1 win in NY so no tears, now on to Baltimore where I’d like to win at least 2. Plesac brought up how competitive the team has been, did some homework and they are 8-10 since the KC series and we could have easily won 3 games in that series. I still think they will win at least 65 games.

That’s 3 times I can remember trying to go from 2nd to 3rd on a ball hit to SS in front of you. Beneintendi saves the inning driving home Vargas with a double.
