  1. Our outfield has been a major problem with everyone underperforming except for Benintendi who isn’t exactly another Carl Yastrzemski. With the bases loaded twice last night all we needed were 2 measly singles and we win the game. I’m actually feeling pretty good with the pitching staff and the infield (except for 1B) along with the catching. If Vargas is put at 1B regularly that’s good but then we need a third baseman, it would be great if somehow Colson put everything together and he could handle 3B, he had a good game last night and hopefully the start of something good. BTW Elko had another good game, he has to better than Noda.
  2. The pitching staff is coming around as the team ERA is almost league average, much much better than last year and earlier this season. In the bullpen Grant Taylor is probably our future closer, he hits 100 mph occasionally. Vasil looks like a keeper. Eisert has done a good job. Steve Wilson has done well but he is 30 years old. The starting staff has some potential with Burke, Shane Smith, Cannon and Martin. Houser has done well but will probably be traded to a contender at the deadline as will Civale.
  3. The only hope is when Ishbia takes over but we really don’t know what his M.O. will be.
  4. Slater isn’t a Roberto Clemente but I’d rather see him in right than Noda. Venable trying to be cute again with the lineup and it bites him in the ass.
  5. Meidroth on his way to becoming a fan favorite if not already, Sox fans love players that hustle.
  6. I’ll never forget that Billy Pierce heartbreak game, listened to the game on the radio as the Sox didn’t televise home night games in those days, just day games. Never knew that about the FitzGerald relation with that famous ship being named after Ed’s grandfather.
  7. Just like too many swing thoughts in golf.
  8. It will last as long as Reinsdorf owns the franchise.
  9. That’s what needs to be done, keep guys at their best position instead of constantly playing musical chairs, do this for an extended period and see what happens. I’m still not sure where Vargas should be, probably at 3rd with maybe Teel at first with Quero and Lee doing the catching. Noda is at .095 BA and isn’t the answer at first base. I think that an infield of Vargas-Meidroth- Sosa-Teel going forward is promising. It’s the outfield that needs help.
  10. SOX WIN!!! Score runs, win games.
  11. This inning should be over, 2 costly errors.
  12. Sosa put the hurt on that homer, 4-2 Sox.
  13. Yep, just announced on the telecast, he’s still here.
  14. Very ugly. Starting to look like we aren’t going to be counting on Colson in the near future or maybe at all.
  15. 1 run in 18 innings against Arizona and at home, what's worse than pathetic.
  16. The JR owned White Sox are a terrible organization but how can you blame the organization for what that cretin said.
  17. Then that’s terrible and as I said earlier he has issues and needs help.
  18. Schriffen just needs to tone it down a bit as he goes over the top when the Sox do good things. I think eventually he will be fine, he’s is a likable guy, is articulate and has a good broadcast voice. I actually like him better than Benetti as I wasn’t a fan of him at all.
  19. I agree but I’m guessing that the fan didn’t know that Marte’s mother was deceased. If he did then that guy has issues and needs to see a doctor.
  20. To be fair it started before his arrival but the last year and a half have been historically bad.
  21. At first I thought it was Schriffen toned down a bit, their voices are similar.
  22. If I had my wish he would get his batting eye back and stay with the Sox, not going to find a much better centerfielder that can also steal bases.
  23. C’mon Luis, let this be the start of something, not counting on it but one can hope.
  24. Who is doing the play by play on TV tonight? Just found out, Connor McNight.
