  1. I’m old and 1959 is also a cherished year and in some respects more cherished because they were my boyhood heroes and I idolized guys like Fox, Pierce and Aparicio. I was 59 in 2005 and and it was a great year and was so thankful I saw my team finally go all the way but It was just not the same as when you were a 13 year old, yes that 59 team is still my favorite Sox team of all time.
  2. After May and June I was feeling pretty good as the kids looked pretty good but now it seems like they have all regressed and I’m almost as depressed as last year. Venable as someone said earlier manages the club like it’s Spring Training, I wanted them to bring an experienced manager, not a rookie. I’ve never been a fan of Katz, I don’t think Thames is the answer as hitting coach. Yes things are bleak and the answer to your question is that they will not be competitive until Reinsdorf finally sells to Ishbia.
  3. Maybe the Sox will trade him to the Rays, the Trop will be ready for 2026.
  4. Needed to bring in a lefty, Civale was losing it on top of it he didn’t cover first on that potential DP.
  5. That’s not the issue though I think Quero is better behind the plate but you shouldn’t have Quero and Teel fighting for playing time, with Teel at first Quero would get plenty of playing time at Catcher with Lee as the backup. Teel should eventually become a big bat in the lineup and playing first base would prolong his career.
  6. Teel having a tough day behind the plate.
  7. In defense of Getz, Robertson was on the way to Charlotte but Elko hurt his knee and Robertson had to make a u turn.
  8. So far the Jays made a good move with DFA Robertson.
  9. Has to be hurt because he’s a switch hitter.
  10. His first step was in the opposite direction.
  11. I hate it for a guy that young but Sosa has to be the DH, sometimes he seems lost wherever he’s playing, maybe a lack of concentration.
  12. Will Robert and Rojas ever get to the Mendoza line this year?
  13. Been saying that for over a month.
  14. Easy DP, how does Sosa not catch the relay.
  15. We’re due for a big crooked number.
  16. IMHO it was mistake to bring in a rookie manager with a team that’s rebuilding.
  17. Swings the same regardless where the pitch is, never goes down to get the ball.
  18. I swear since last Sunday I’ve never seen so many popouts and weak fly balls by Sox hitters.
