I gave him a C but I haven’t been a fan from the beginning, my wish was that Getz after the Grifol debacle would hire a veteran manager to nature and teach all the kids we have had in the rebuilding process, too bad we didn’t steal Kevin Cash from the Rays, he would have been perfect.

One thing that has been forgotten is the loss of Austin Hays, not a devastating loss but enough to make a difference, guy is a proven major leaguer, good defensively and with some pop. If Hays was out in RF playing everyday they could have given B. Monty more time at AAA.

I’ll take a pass.

Time to go back watching the U S Open.

So far in this series the Sox look deader than the city of Detroit.

I know Braden had a great start but I thought they brought him up too early, he needed more time at AAA.

After we swept them they went to Tampa Bay and destroyed the Rays, they looked like Murderers Row in that series.

We need a big inning, things are sort of dead.

Agree on that, I like Meidroth but at this point I’m not sure we would get all that much in return as every team is looking for pitching.

Perez had a nice game with a single and a homer and Venable pinch hits B. Monty, bad move especially as Braden has been struggling, you go with the hot hand. Venable perplexes me and over manages at times, why was Chase batting 3rd?

Showed power in the minors, one year he had 28 dingers.

Huge win, we don’t want any long losing streaks. Burke was great and Beni came through in the clutch. Back in first place, on to Detroit where the Sox should take 2 games, things might be tough tonight as the Sox probably didn’t get to Motown until 3AM.

Been saying all year that Beni will help especially down the stretch.
