The Mighty Mite

I’d really like to know what the hitting coach is saying to him.

There you go, Schriff is sick.

Out of plain embarrassment you think he would try something different.

Of course another K.

Great catch by BMont.

We’ve been calling for that for quite awhile now, Venable is not listening.

Wasted challenge.

Really a small crowd tonight.

Where is Schriffen tonight?

I’m sort of surprised the Sox didn’t schedule this game as a matinee since it’s getaway day, St. Louis isn’t that far away but still I’d rather see the Sox tucked away in their hotel right about this time instead of getting into St. Louis at who knows what time.

My ancestors are from an area on the Greek mainland not far from Kafalonia.

When I’m not watching the Sox I’m tuned into the Rays games and IMHO Kevin Cash should be manager of the year. The team the Rays put on the field day after day and except for Caminero, Diaz and Aranda are not that good, the pitching has been very good and Cash does a great job of handling the staff and gets the best out his players, he sort of reminds me of the great Al Lopez in that respect. That being said Veneble will probably win it because he was the manager of a team that lost 101 games last year and are in first place right now.

We need starting pitching and I’m worried about both Montgomery’s along with Mune, they probably brought up Braden too soon but had to as Hays was injured. Vargas, Meindroth, Peters, Teel and Ant should only get better and our 2 veterans were damn good at DH. I’m not sure about the status of the Minor League system as I don’t follow the farm teams all that much. I know we have good prospects at Shortstop and some good arms and Bonemer is damn good. I also think Venable and his coaches need to be replaced, maybe not the pitching coach, he did a great job with the bullpen and you can’t blame him for Martin and Burke running out of gas though Martin has 2 nice starts in a row and Fedde has been decent. Now to Getz, what he has done in 2 years is amazing having a team that lost 121 games in 2024 to a contender in 2026, they improved by 20 games last year and will probably improve about 22 games this year, maybe more. The bad news is his acquisitions at this year’s deadline have all been busts.

He’s just about at the Mendoza line and of the regulars including Beni and Grichuk his OPS is only better than B. Montgomery.

This team cannot sustain a rally as they swing for the fences on every pitch. This was the modus operandi of the hitting coach who also can’t fix Kolson and Mune. They will probably give up on Kolson as we have good prospects at shortstop, he then like Vaughn will be fixed by his next team and wind up hitting 40 homers a year for the next decade. To tell the truth after that one AB by Kmont I don’t care to ever see him in Sox uniform against, I don’t think I’ve been so mad at a Sox player as I was with that AB as he just quit after the first strike. I would have benched him and his 200 Ks right there.

If they sweep us, it will probably be over for us.

That was about as bad of a AB as you will ever see, like he just gave up. I’m sick to my stomach with Kolson Montgomery.

That breaks the strikeout streak.

Sam doesn’t look all that smooth at 2B.

Yep, the NL is so much tougher than the AL this year.

You’re right on.

Just pathetic, no sense of urgency from the manager to the bat boys.

No he wasn’t especially in Horlens first few years.

I thought it was 199.

Couldn’t have said it better.
