  1. White Sox Opening Day is here! Let the ugliness begin.
  2. I hate the manager more, talk about unlikable, the guy is a complete asshat and has no business managing a MLB team.
  3. What an outfit, send Pillar packing Saturday and turn around and sign him today, WTF happened in less than 24 hours.
  4. Fletcher has hit everywhere he’s played so I think he will finish ST on a high note and will be our Rightfielder hopefully for now and the future.
  5. The Chicago Castoffs with another monumental acquisition.
  6. I think Vaughn cares, Benintendi will be better because his wrist has healed, Moncada has never cared and Eloy is Eloy.
  7. 70-92 because I think this bunch will care more than most of the stiffs that populated the roster in 2023.
  8. 4th win a row beating the Cubs 3-2, is it time to get a little excited.
  9. Probably true but Robert is not superstar as of yet, when I see a few years in a row where he posts OPS over .900 then we can call him a superstar, needs to stay healthy also.
  10. It would go bad.
  11. I’m going with B+. Cease was OK but he regressed last year and based on that I think we did well with this trade. I didn’t think I’d ever see another rebuild but it is what it is and let’s hope they get this one right.
  12. This whole off season has been as bizarre as can be. What exactly is Getz’s game plan?
  13. I admire your optimism, you remind me of myself from back in the day.
  14. Exactly, there’s no reason to rush him.
  15. With what has happened the last 2 years with the team and this imbecile as manager it is becoming extremely hard for me to care anymore, I have 72 years invested with the Sox and I’m trying to hang in there, what happens this year could be the deciding factor. Part of the problem is the team wasn’t improved one iota over the off season and we still have an idiot as manager, unless I’m missing something, what is there to look forward to.
  16. After being a die hard since 1952 I have to admit that the last 2 seasons have really soured me but I really don’t want them to leave my hometown and where I lived the first 47 years of my life. I can’t begin to tell you how many sleepless nights I have had after White Sox losses, I would listen to games with a transistor radio under my pillow not only in my younger years but also as an adult into my 40s. The Sox have been part of my DNA since I was in first grade but as I said earlier, the last 2 years have probably affected my DNA but if I didn’t care anymore I wouldn’t be a member of SOX TALK not to mention a few other sites.
  17. Could be and that would be nice, they have to build a ballpark and surrounding area that is a destination.
  18. 81 pages so far and everything that could be said has been said but bottom line is there are around 10 million people in the Chicago metro area and the Cubs own the market with 67 percent Cub fans and 33 percent Sox fans. A new stadium will help draw fans for a while but after a few years the Cubs will still own the market and the Sox will struggle to draw 2 million a year. The Sox would be better off in another city and frankly I don’t care as that’s what 42 years of JR’s ownership has done to me.
  19. Besides being a lousy manager the guy is a big jerk.
  20. Some great answers but it’s sad how this franchise has reached its lowest point since I became a fan in 1952, I thought 68,69 and 70 were horrible years but I’ve never seen Sox fans so despondent and depressed with the franchise as they are now with many almost hoping they move to Nashville.
  21. Aah, you can’t beat fun at the old ballpark.
  22. I hope you are right but they will be lucky to win 70 games.
  23. I’m going with 1,500,000.
