  1. No surprise there, JR hates spending on potential.
  2. As I said last week, stick Colas out in RF for the rest of the season regardless of what he does as this team isn’t going anywhere and see what we have, I’d do the same with Sosa at second base but please don’t rush Montgomery.
  3. It starts at the top with the worst owner in MLB.
  4. I guess this means Elvis Andrus will probably show up in a Sox uniform soon.
  5. Your last 2 sentences will never happen, I think you were just joking but the franchise is at a new low and I have no idea how they rectify all that is wrong, such huge mistakes in the hiring of Grifol and Getz, firing those 2 and bringing in the best people they could find from other organizations would be a start but only if Reinsdork becomes a hands off owner.
  6. I’ve been a Sox fan since 1952 and it would be so very hard to switch allegiance to another team but I’m at wits end with what we have seen the last few years, from possible World Series contenders to the dregs of Major League Baseball, it’s like a continuing bad dream that gets worse night by night. I’m seeing a lot of apathy and it begs the question that this might be the game plan to make things so bad that Sox Park will soon be a ghost town and JR would have the ammunition to move the team to another city, nothing surprises me anymore as I remember when the Dodgers left Brooklyn for Los Angeles in 1958, just unbelievable at the time, the highly successful original Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and the Colts moved to Indianapolis in the middle of the night, never underestimate how ruthless owners of professional sports teams can be with JR being as ruthless as any of them.
  7. Excellent take on JR’s miserly ways and his record of mediocrity, if that. Another thing is he won’t spend much on the minor league system as the Sox just can’t develop players like other organizations as Reinsdork hires lousy scouts and horrible instructors. Does this despicable man have a clue how despised he is and if he had any honor he would sell the franchise to someone who cares.
  8. OK, thanks.
  9. That’s 171 games, I think you meant 62-100, no way that this team wins 62 games.
  10. Marlins up 10-1, will win their first game and tie the Sox for fewest wins in MLB. I expect the Sox to be the worst team in baseball this year, there is no hope for this franchise when we have the worst owner along with a GM and field manager who have no business being in their current jobs not to mention a bunch players except for one that no other teams would want.
  11. Where are those wins going to come from? We can’t beat KC, how are we going to beat anyone else.
  12. That’s about it, I watched him the years he was with Rays, he will hit an occasional homer as he swings for the fences on every swing but most of the time it’s a K.
  13. As of yet I’m not a fan of Colas but they should bring him up, he’s better than any of the others in our outfield.
  14. It was 6,000, the ballparks capacity before the lop off of 8 rows was 45,000, after the lop off it was reduced to 39,000+, it’s even less now with some other alterations.
  15. Just bring up Colas and let him play RF the rest of the year, if he can’t hack it then dump him for a bag of balls at the end of the year.
  16. I’ve always liked Tommy Pham, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an intense player as him but he’s not going to help this pathetic team.
  17. The Bears, Hawks and Bulls have the backing of the whole metro area while the Sox are lucky if they draw from 40% of the metro area as when it comes to baseball it’s now a Cubs town, wasn’t always that way as it was a Sox town most of the 50s and 60s, after that it was about even and then the despicable Reinsdorf and his creep of a partner Eddie Einhorn bought the team in 81 and through one bad move after another turned Chicago into Cubs town.
  18. Shitcago loses again, on pace for a 21-141 season.
  19. He’s not alone, this is one horrible team loaded with guys who bring nothing to the table.
  20. They didn’t forget to play but somewhere, somehow they lost the chemistry that winning teams need.
  21. It’s hard to do after following the White Sox since 1952 but I won’t pay to watch them on TV and living in Florida will continue to get my baseball fix watching Rays and Marlins games. One thing has happened to me, after being a die-hard Blackhawks fan since 1958 I have become a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning and they have become my favorite sports team, what a great organization with a great owner who constantly gives back to the community.
  22. As long as JR owns the franchise the organization cannot be repaired, it will be permanently a disgrace in the world of Professional Sports.
  23. There’s a reason this guy has been on 4 teams already, only the White Sox thought that he was an asset worth 15 million a year.
  24. I’ve lost all confidence in Getz, a lousy resume cheap hire guy by Reinsdork.
