I think Lip mentioned that JR is not a happy camper, would there be a chance that he might see the errors of his ways and clean house and bring in some good baseball people and clean up this mess. JR also needs to open up the checkbook and sign some premier free agents.
Took the #7 back in 1967 taking in a Mets-Phillies game at Shea. i remember sitting around some Mets fans and told them I was a White Sox fan and they said, gee you guys win 90 games every year. We were in first place at the time but came up short of 90 wins in 1967 as we lost the last 5 games of the season and a chance of winning the Pennant.
The 18,000+ that showed up for Luis Aparicio Day was more than likely one of the largest crowds of the year as the Sox only drew 495,000 for the season, just a horrible year as the Sox finished at 56-106.
