  1. I'll be at work the entire game so hopefully i come home to a winner.
  2. I enjoy hawk (and DJ i guess) to a certain extent. The hawkisms are great and who doesnt like the HE GAWN call. On the other hand, his silence in the booth is a little aggravating. What works for me is mixing it up between the two because neither are really that entertaining.
  3. hopefully that twinkie pen will be all battered and beaten up by the time they head to chicago. go A's
  4. not every one of botch's save situations will include a two or three run cushion. on sunday he came in with a one run lead and he was able to dominate after the lead-off single. is it just his nature to step it up when the gap narrows or is he just plain lucky. personally i think he is getting lucky as hell, and once he comes in to a few save situations with only one run leads he'll be in SERIOUS trouble.
  5. i wish the mariners gameday scoreboard was saying that. im still stuck in the middle of the 16th according to it.
  6. three up, three down and we move on to the bottom half of the 16th with the score all knotted at threes
  7. yeah, on monday night i was getting the game on espn 2 and i live in the southwest suburbs. so maybe tomorrow night we won't be blacked out either. but who cares about espn if you got hawk and dj up in the booth, i mean c'mon.
  8. If the season was approaching the trade deadline and we were in first place or very close to it, I would want KW shopping for a closer. Although I would really like a quality 5th starter I think we might already have one in Cotts, Diaz, or Rauch. And with the team we have now I think there is a good chance we can win the division. In the playoffs we will not need a 5th starter, so unless we can get a very cheap and a very good starter, I'll take a pass. Also, between Uribe, Harris, and Valentin we have a good little trio up the middle. Not great, but good. And as far as centerfielders go, I think it would be hard to find one and I'm hoping ARow's bat heats up. After those deductions, we're left without a closer. That's assuming Koch, Marte, or whoever else Ozzie sends out their in the ninth can't fill that role.
  9. not true i battled through the chilling winds and constand rain for all three hours. a very boring game to say the least. but hot dogs were only 1$ and we won so i guess it wasnt all bad
  10. if were giving credit to names like Ron Karkovice and Julio Ramirez then theres other obvious candidates. namely: Noberto Martin Tony Phillips Ken Hill
  11. yeah something about him waving that bat just makes me think he's gonna hit it a mile every time he's up there and also, whose it gonna be closing this one out in the ninth?
  12. sox out of the top half of the 7th with minimal damage
  13. is this willie trying to be a patient lead-off hitter? SWING THE DAMN BAT!!
  14. we actually got a 4 game set against those damned yankees so it should make for an interesting weekend. im just glad we wont see brown cuz he has started off in fine fashion
