  1. You can say whatever the F*** you want... but when we win 3 in a row and then the manager takes 3 games off and we lose them all. It doesn't look good... makes the white sox look like a joke... Am I saying it would have mattered if Robin was here? Nah I'm not making that conclusion But boy does it look bad now.
  2. Semien is batting like .275 with 400 errors at shortstop..
  3. apparently our coaching staff likes to leave some of sad arse hitters to face the closer leading of the 9th. Wow this coaching staff can look like such a joke sometimes.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 12, 2015 -> 01:09 PM) Good news for you, I have a handy jump to conclusions matt you can borrow. I totally missed the quote and who it was by... my fault. Thanks for the offer though Bill Lumbergh.
  5. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 12, 2015 -> 12:24 PM) Agreed 1000%. I can't believe this is even a big deal to some people. I am not a fan of Robin but I have no problem with him taking 3 days off to travel cross country to see a once in a lifetime event for his daughter. Interesting thing about that tweet is Robin's words at the end of that.. "This was my decision." I never thought for one second it wasn't but that statement makes me thing he is wondering if people think management told him to take a break? or...
  6. My own father didn't go to my graduation from college because he was playing golf... Oh wait I didn't go either was on Sunday... not missing NFL games! Can't blame someone for wanting 3 days off from a pressure job... but be expecting some grumbles.. I'm sure Robin can handle it.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 09:06 PM) Yeah, but they waited until travel conditions were better. Robin should have told his daughter to wait until they were on the west coast. The hatred be spewed is disgusting. Just a tad over dramatic Imho. I for sure don't hate Robin... he is probably one of my favorite White Sox personalities... Robin is hilarious. Nor to I really give much a crap if he missed 3 games. Is he a major league manager? That is one I'm not sure about.
  8. Going to put in a pretty solid inference that this is something him and management agreed to before he took the job... that he would have this flexability for family events.
  9. Soto is obviously a more competent bat yes... however how does he control the pitchers? That is the thing I really don't know. Watching Flowers bat is pretty painful.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 09:13 AM) It's funny how managers are given much more leeway with this type of stuff than players are. It seems like players are lucky to get two days off for the birth of a child. I have never seen this before. I really don't care if Ventura misses... it's nice that the Sox organization isn't being facist to its manager. Just going to be honest this and last year missing games for graduations.... Can someone give me a similar example? I can't think of one.
  11. It was a widely held belief by a ton of intelligent baseball people that the Sox were going to be good this year with all their signings.... It hasn't happened yet but these few people running in here like "I told you so..." It makes me laugh...
  12. two or three outings in a row that Putnam has tight movement. Looks good.
  13. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 07:57 PM) He's not the type of guy teams overpay for Quintana career v LHP: .248/.302/.382 Quintana career v RHP: .261/.318/.393 If you're really that desperate to have more of a righty/lefty split in the rotation despite none of them actually struggling way more against righties, why not move Danks (the way worse pitcher) into a long man roll and give one of our righties like Guerra or Johnson a chance? Oh yeah that would be better... just don't think we could get much for Danks.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 07:51 PM) I don't care if they have 5 strong LHP I do. 3/5 of our division is made of teams with strong right handed hitters.
  15. I'm not saying Quintana is horrible... he might have value to get something we need more.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 07:48 PM) Sigh. We have a ton of left hand pitchers .... we have 1 right hander and he has been bad. Doesn't seem illogical to me.
  17. We need to trade Quintana for a decent right hander.
  18. Love Robin... great white sox But couldn't care less if he is there or not... not like it makes any difference one way or the other.
  19. Yesterday the sox saw 106 pitches... today they saw 151...
  20. Not sure what happened but from the 5-6th inning on our batters started actually taking pitches... It was an out of body experience.
  21. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 06:18 PM) Atleast Robin is trying something new. Yes It looks fugly - however when you haven't hit all year. Sometimes you need to try different things. It's worth trying by Robin.
  22. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 11:03 PM) He was actually at 3rd before the error. He could have taken home but got lost in the confusion. Altuve took second on it. Ahh okay that makes sense thanks
  23. Someone explain that to me? single single..runner goes to third on error by Cabrera. strikeout strikeout Infield Single by Correa.. runs scores. runner on 1st 2 outs. Walk Fielders choice out? I don't get why that run is earned without the error it never scores.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 10:30 PM) Even on a night where Chris Sale is other worldly, The Misery Crew is here to take a sledgehammer to people's ankles. Thanks to all of the Kathy Bates' of So talk. Please lol... yeah we can win when Chris Sale pitches. We all know that... however what about the rest of the week? I'll be happy and pretend I didn't see a bunch of horrible/brainless at bats tonight which is the official trademark of the Whitesox the past few seasons.
