  1. And because it would be such a Jerry Reinsdorf White Sox thing to do.
  2. We all know that. We don’t need proof.
  3. Harold, you think there’s a chance he moves with Crochet?
  4. I was going to say lol
  5. This is the first time I’ve been able to. Me too.
  6. Yeah with like a reliever or Pham?
  7. No team wanted him at $3M or whatever he signed for in the offseason, no team will want him now. And don’t say it’s because he was injured last year because James Paxton signed for $7M and he’s never healthy (prior to this year).
  8. Zero chance Clevinger gets moved, and I will die on the hill that it wouldn’t matter if he was healthy or not.
  9. I didn’t say he would play SS… I meant short, stop gap: not the position (I would have said SS…..) the idea that maybe your 2B is a guy who can play SS and slide over when Colson is ready.
  10. Yep. Let him be a short stop gap until Colson is ready next year and move him to the bench. (depending on what rest of infield looks like)
  11. Just keep playing him.
  12. No, his clock doesn’t start it December when he is added to the 40-man.
  13. Just don’t get picked off 2nd base when you can already score on a hit.
  14. Good value signing for this season and probably still available in everyone’s fantasy league.
  15. I feel like we find ourselves asking that question often.
  16. I’ve been saying this too about Baldwin. You can give him a shot before the guys with higher ceiling get a chance because he doesn’t have the ceiling of a guy you worry about the service time/control. Give him a shot before Colson. He’s earned it. And then let him move to another spot once Colson is ready.
  17. I don’t think there’s a single poster here who wanted him in the bullpen after 2020, or even wanted him up in 2020 in the bullpen (starting wasn’t really an option that short season obviously). I think many would have wanted him in the minors in a starting role in 2021.
  18. Yeah, that one headline of “Sox actively seeking trade packages” makes it sound like they’re trying to get it done. At least that’s how I read it. Not just listening but dealing him for best offer closest to the deadline.
  19. Yeah he was moved just last year. Not a great return but he can still bring back something.
  20. I still think it would have been easier to do that in the minors to open the year (shorter starts, easier to skip, gain another year of control). I agree with with s2k5 for thinking they’re pumping him up for a trade and don’t really care about how this would effect him later.
  21. I don’t think it’s just the jump from one season. Crochet’s overall body of work in college through his last 6 season was very minimal.
  22. I’m in the boat that is fine extending him, but more of the team-friendly variety. Idk if I’d gamble $25M+ a year on his health. And knowing Jerry, he won’t either.
  23. “We ain’t taking that!” as Pham took that to the IL. Oof
  24. We have a .667 winning percentage against the Braves. They’re also worse than us.
