  1. We all talked about this last year. I think its because all of the $54 mill is guaranteed. Like he doesn't have a buyout. Instead, they can choose to not pick up the option but are still on the hook for the full amount just deferred. So you're looking at is as the full amount split up over the 3 years instead of 4 years. Which then makes you question: if they pick up his option for the 4th year, is the CBT hit $0?
  2. We've already seen the deal. It was not good for Cincy.
  3. A few years ago, he made sense to be wanted. But he's just gotten worse in that time.
  4. I would be disappointed but honestly not shocked.
  5. Conforto. Need left-handed hitting.
  6. Yeah like I said, doesn't really fit. Can't even say "well we can stick him at DH and see how it goes until we feel like not paying him" because we already have DH covered haha
  7. I'm looking to see if they have any other bad contracts that make sense to take back to lessen the cost but they don't really fit the team, unless you want to take on 1 year/$8 mill of Shogo Akiyama to straight up release haha
  8. There goes the Bryant fit I just mentioned haha
  9. Let’s see what they gave up.
  10. Yep. And a similar feeling when they signed Adam Eaton last year. I wish they would have signed Grossman to the deal the Tigers gave him ha
  11. Like you said yesterday, none of the big bats have signed yet. However, skepticism they will sign one is completely fair based on history haha
  12. I was thinking the same. Why not offer similar and see if he bites?
  13. I think I've seen Phillies, Giants, Rockies connected to him.
  14. Such a random fit to the point where I hope it happens. I feel like he will go to Seattle though.
  15. Apparently not but he worked out at Petco yesterday and spent timewith Darvish's family apparently.
  16. Ok so assume Dodgers sign Freeman. With all the depth they have and guys able to play multiple positions (not just on the bench but in the lineup), is Harold’s idea of trading for Lux at all realistic? This of course would mean Harrison and García are on the bench but would still likely get enough playing time with injuries and shit.
  17. It’s called looking for positives when signing a guy like Josh Harrison lol
  18. Lol just drop all starters and go with a 13-man bullpen, built with a couple of long relievers.
  19. And being from Georgia, maybe they can extend him.
  20. Yeah...I feel like they should have just offered Freeman the 6th year. DH in the NL now helps an aging contract.
  21. This off-season, we've guaranteed $82 mill, $45 mill in '22 to relievers and utility players lol That counts Kimbrel since he is still here.
  22. Tatis out up to 3 months. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/fernando-tatis-jr-fractured-wrist-surgery-three-months-padres.html
