  1. This is what I’m thinking. Guy only threw 40 innings total previous two years.
  2. Add catchers to that and I agree. Also, I’d never sit more than one regular a game if I could (obviously guys could be banged up). If your catcher is out, no one else is sitting. No more “Sunday lineups” please.
  3. Well we can expect Tony to start resting guys in April so who really knows.
  4. It’s all about gut feelings and hitting guys like Jake Lamb 3rd or 4th!
  5. Never. Gotta play and pitch your best to win. It's not like you could just sit him out all series and wait for the ALCS.
  6. Meadows has 3 years of control left. It definitely would not be a straight up deal.
  7. Lol yeah I was about comment that he looked like he was being held against his will.
  8. Accountability? This organization doesn't understand that.
  9. Glasnow is missing most if not all of next season which is why the Cubs, (or any rebuilding team) would be turned off. You would only have him for one season where he is making his way back from TJ surgery. Edit: Maybe the Sox should see if they can pull off the same move and eat some of the cost and have him come back at the end of 22, in rotation for 23. edit 2: yes, I know this isn’t realistic
  10. So how do we go about receiving our refunds if we bought ALCS tickets?
  11. Too many corner type, right handed bats.
  12. And I think he can be. Just don't expect anything better than he was this year.
  13. Off-season needs (no particular order): Right Fielder (one that can hit left-handed preferred.) Second Baseman (preferably a lefty but righty could be ok with a lefty in RF) Reliever to replace Kimbrel (whether you decline option or pick it up and trade him somehow) Reliever to replace Kopech (Kopech slides into starting role) Veteran backup C. The time Grandal was out was brutal
  14. Assuming Rodon walks, where are we plugging in another starter? Unless you deal Keuchel somehow, you still have Lynn, Giolito, Cease, and Kopech sliding into a starting role.
  15. Yep. Looking at free agency, there is really no one after Semien. Being 31, I feel like he is more realistic for the Sox than the other guys available at SS.
  16. Honestly that is fair. First time in history we’ve gone to the postseason back to back years. Baby steps.
  17. Jesus what a low bar. It’s one thing if the division was competitive but overall yuck.
