  1. They might as well continue playing against other teams' minor league players. Basically just an extended spring training.
  2. Woke up thinking this might actually get announced today. They put him on roster, don't have to play service time games if they buy out a year or two (possible options), spring training is over and no games or other news today, they have agreed to extensions with other young players prior to season starting, etc.
  3. Shut your mouth.
  4. Agreed. It's all just to give TLR the best roster this year while ignoring the long-term pros of him starting in the minors. Extra year of control, stretch arm out, work as a starter, manage workload where wins and losses don't matter.
  5. I understood it before, but now with the 3 batter rule it shouldn't be as needed. Also, if you're carrying 8 (or more) relievers, you shouldn't really need a mop up guy with that deep of a pen. Maybe a couple guys who could go about 2 innings at a time if needed, but not necessarily a guy designated for the role. Just leave camp with the best 8 relievers.
  6. I've hated him for quite a few years now but there's plenty room on board for ya.
  7. Lol no, not hoping at all. Just kind of expect it/wouldn't be shocked if it happened.
  8. I wouldn't be shocked if they sign Yolmer to a minor league deal.
  9. I am a big fan of them starting out west and getting a west coast trip out of the way early.
  10. I think its more to get him a quick 3 ABs and pull him. Edit: oh, only 7 innings today.
  11. I'm saying this normally happens during the season with him. Not just recently.
  12. Soft as in he can't play through any pain. The normal stuff other players can play through. A foulball off his leg takes him out of the game and has him on the bench the next day. That's what people are referring to.
  13. Just gotta kick him in the shin and he'll hobble around be listed as "day to day."
  14. Oh I'm not disagreeing that he shouldn't be open to playing in LF. Just pointing out to the poster that either way, they have an non-outfield player in LF.
  15. Lamb has also never played OF in the MLB or MiLB so he would be learning a new position as well (I assume he is in LF in your lineup). Also using stats from 5 years ago is not valid data.
  16. Yeah thats a pretty weak offer.
  17. Noooo thank you.
  18. Surprised no one has commented on Falcon and Winter Soldier yet. It has started out strong so far through 2 episodes.
  19. I don't think he would sign to be a bench player. And not for the money he ended up getting.
  20. So after the new development, something close to this?: vs RHP Anderson SS Eaton RF Abreu 1B Moncada 3B Grandal C Vaughn LF Robert CF Collins DH Madrigal 2B vs LHP (until Engel returns) Anderson SS Madrigal 2B Abreu 1B Moncada 3B Grandal C Vaughn LF Robert CF Yermin DH Eaton RF Edit: man I miss plugging Eloy in the 4 spot.
  21. If anything, Lamb grabs an OF glove. He's the fringe MLB'r so he needs to be open to it.
  22. Yeah somewhere where he could mentor a young catcher.
  23. Thought maybe it was minor league depth signing.
