  1. Britton's contract of $14mill was picked up by the Yanks so you gotta think, at the very least, a big market team will claim him.
  2. Whoa. 2 minds that think alike apparently haha
  3. I've been picturing a Bobby Valentine managed 2012 Red Sox where the season was just a disaster and he only lasts one season.
  4. As expected by literally everyone (besides Greg).
  5. Yeah. Offer a higher AAV one year deal and an opportunity to pitch for a HoF manager.
  6. I agree. He slides in really well into the 3 spot in the rotation.
  7. Charlie Morton anyone? Option was decline by Tampa.
  8. Tigers interviewed Hinch and are already progressing towards a deal. Hinch played for the Tigers right?
  9. I mean, I certainly don't want a 80-something year old to have control.
  10. Especially when Dallas tweeted the day of the Renteria presser that exciting times were ahead. Now? Crickets.
  11. He's got a job for life working for Jerry.
  12. Here it is: Madrigal and/or Vaughn dealt for old pitcher, Sox sign Wainwright, Molina (primary DH/backup C), and Kolten Wong.
  13. You're executive of the year and you're not allowed to even pick your manager lol what a disgrace. If it wasn't for the lifetime security, Hahn would be gone by now.
  14. They were not allowed to announce until after World Series.
  15. Lance Briggs works the for The Score, no? He probably heard it from someone who works there. His source is probably Bruce lol
  16. The Tweet yesterday made it sound like a LaRussa announcement would happen today, right? If nothing is announced, is that a good thing?
  17. I just saw the report on MLBTR. Their hope apparently is that another team claims him and picks up his $10m option so they don't have to pay a $1m buyout. I see zero chance of him becoming a free agent. I would definitely put in a claim. If he made it to us, you'd have Hand, Bummer, and Fry solidifying the left side.
  18. He was discussed in a thread yesterday (Offseason targets I think?) and no one thought it had any shot of happening, despite an Eaton/Engel platoon potentially being good.
  19. He wasn't on a team last year so it's not reduced. Hence, why he was able to sign during this period. We are in the period where you can only negotiate with your own free agents but MLBTR points out that he was not on a team so he is free to sign.
  20. He was bad last season. I don't think he does better than a one year deal.
  21. Worth mentioning he got hit with an 80-game suspension in 2019 and only served partial of that. Still needs to serve the rest.
