Perfect. Instead of signing guys he's already friends with, just have our current guys become friends with him. Maybe next time Yonder, Jay and Manny work out, Yolmer, Jose, and Timmy can make an appearance. If that happened and Machado was still a free agent, this place would explode.

Martin Perez at 27 would be fine. Being that young, there is definitely some upside. I agree though, do it if you can get him on a minor league deal.
