  1. Reddit is what it is but fans of other teams say they'd tune into Sox baseball specifically for Jason. Plenty of haters around here but it's a loss no matter how you slice it. By the way who can hate Sox math? It literally is during commercial time and for the kids. What a weird reason to dislike Jason.
  2. Hard disagree on your last sentence. The real world tends to slap childhood dreams in the face. That's probably what happened here. At the end of the day broadcasting any team is a dream job and if another employer is more serious then I gotta go where I feel appreciated ( and probably paid more!)
  3. Nah, that's not it. All of that bad stuff already happened and the house collapsed into a pile of rubble. Then JR and BB walked by and took a dump on it.
  4. JR: Laughs at the idea of signing Ohtani. Cubs: Were going to be serious players for Ohtani. Why are YOU a White Sox fan still?
  5. As they should. It's a fucking s%*# show. This is legitimately a AAA franchise that is somehow lucky enough to be in MLB.
  6. f*** JR, letting another future HOF announcer walk out the door feeling like s%*#. Watch Benetti earn his MLB stripes the next decade. Like every announcer he had people who didnt like him but by and large the MLB fan community seemed to enjoy his style. Give the man a real baseball team with actual excitement and I bet it gets even better. I'm with the guy who said if the Cubs sign Shohei I'm gonna watch more of their games. I dont even give a f*** anymore. Why even bother with this sorry ass franchise and blind stupid loyalty to it because of "reasons" when theres a serious franchise in the same city that's actually trying. f*** the White Sox.
  7. Dont disagree with you regarding TAs price but this team needs to be flushed down the toilet. No sense letting any more turds stick onto the side of the toilet, all it does it stink up the joint.
  8. It is honestly that bad for me too. What we were promised and what we ended up with is a straight up disservice to the fans. This is a year they were supposed to be a prime WS contender and missing opportunities to beat a team like the Diamondbacks just plain sucks. Also I would have been a pig in s%*# since I live in AZ and would have spent way too much money going to games. 😂 The Sox... they gawn.
  9. When we saw him he was being developed by the White Sox. The A's couldn't believe how raw he still was when they got him (at least defensively). Its just another peanut in the White Sox's turd.
  10. Good teams can lose their best RH hitter and barely skip a beat. Congrats to the Rangers for doing a rebuild the right way and convincing a HOF manager to join them in their journey. Reinsdorf should be ashamed of how he operates things. Every year he is proven again to be a farce of an owner.
  11. Become a Dbacks fan and you dont have to worry anymore about the "we" white Sox. Those people are a bunch of fucking morons, of course they will never have a Corbin Carroll.
  12. Having moved to Phoenix 2.5 years ago, it's very easy to cheer on a team like the Dbacks. My old team does not develop players to get them ready for big games like Arizona does. Yin and yang. The white Sox frankly need to be launched into the sun. This world series should be a stark reminder to those fucking morons what could have been. Go Dbacks!
  13. Maybe Bruce had no interest.. hed be wise not to... but f*** either way it just sucks. He either didnt want to come here or we didnt even try. A guy who won 3 championships in 6 years and was available. Just another feather in the s%*# pile for this dog s%*# organization that needs to be launched into the sun.
  14. I dunno man. I was one who got a TA Jersey- he was amazing and seemed like a great example and a leader for this team. What has transpired the past few years has been discouraging. Flipping off Cleveland fans? Please dude...leave that to us. All the distracting baby mama nonsense. The complete 180 on his power... its completely gone. Remember his wife would make him spaghetti when he hit a home run? Now he doesnt hit home runs... I wonder why. I admit that's a ridiculous theory but kind of fun lol he dont like his wife anymore so he doesnt hit home runs so she wont make him spaghetti.
  15. The Astros may have been the team caught cheating but that happened and they just went out and continued to dominate the AL afterward. You gotta respect that. We wish the Sox could hold the Astros jock at this point. Hate them all you want, and I wont try to change your mind, but at this point several years removed from the scandal its my opinion that they are now the class of the AL and it's not even close.
  16. Our inability to develop baseball players who arent ready "out of the box" has been exposed. Colas likely lashed out last year because he saw how dogshit it was in our minors. I dont know anything about Colas and his demeanor but I am way less likely to give the Sox the benefit of the doubt than someone like Colas and myriad other young ballplayers who may have craved development in our org. Colas probably found that it was absolutely dog s%*# and then said he needs to be in the Majors around other ML players and coaches to actually improve as a player. Another wasted talent. Hopefully he catches on wherever he goes next.
  17. Calling it a strategy is being nice about it. Dave Wilder recently interviewed by the Athletic discussed how little resources he was given. Vehicles that barely worked, etc. JR does not value Latin American pipelines and frankly, I have no fucking idea how he luckboxed his way into a Cuban pipeline. It honestly cant be because of any great effort or resources he gave his scouts. Who have the Sox developed since Maggs and C Lee from Latin America who wasnt a "ready to go" Cuban line Alexei and Abreu? I honestly cannot think of anyone. Yolmer maybe? The talk about Colas here is discouraging - maybe he is an asshole but the Sox probably did him no favors. Nor Dayan Viciedo. Nor any poor Latin who ends up in this miserable organization. It's not a strategy, it's a fucking blatant disregard for cultivating a market of passionate baseball players who can help make your organization successful. Another bullshit White Sox way mindset where we are so much smarter than everyone else because we dont spend money. Launch this dumb ass organization into the sun.
  18. Laughing at the idea of Ohtani is the last straw for me. Yeah let's laugh at the idea if adding the best player in baseball to our roster. Just like we laughed at the idea of Bryce Harper and cried when Machado got his deal with SD. And laughed at the idea of Miguel Cabrera because we would have had to take Dontrelle Willis too. Meanwhile we miss out on Miggys 45 or so fWAR over 8 or so seasons because of what dumb ass short sighted reason actually? f*** the White Sox. Launch this dumb ass POS org into the moon.
  19. What a miserable franchise. Many of the guys we took a pass on for White Sox reasons are out there proving us wrong. Except some of the Padres guys I guess. So much "what could have been"... sigh.
  20. Harper, Castellanos, Schwarber HRs. Phil's really know how to pick free agents! Who would have thought the most talented free agents would produce and be worth their contracts leading a team to back to back LCS.
  21. They knew they'd never be in the ballpark of what we got from Philly. The Sox are a top 5 most pathetic franchise in the MLB. The market is what it is for the best players and Reinsdorf simply doesnt even compete and stubbornly sticks to his guns. Couple that with inadequate resources on the farm and it's a recipe for disaster. Go D'backs.
  22. Luis Robert is a fine ballplayer and about as cant miss as it gets. In my opinion he would be doing well in any organization (perhaps even better somewhere like Atlanta) so I'm not about ready to give the Sox credit for his development. I just feel like the list of failures is much larger than successes anyway. For example, how have we been doing with Andrew Dalquist and Matthew Thompson, 2 HS pitchers I think everyone was pretty excited about. Their stats look terrible and they walk too many batters. These guys should be at the point now where they are making waves in our system given their draft status and one isnt even in our top 30. Anyone can develop cant miss talent but it's what you do on the margins that matters and the Sox simply dont and it's why we have a bottom 10 farm.
  23. Are you trying to tell me they are getting better at it or just drafted some talented high schoolers? Believe me I'm happy they are trying but nothing about the talent development in this organization screams to me that they will be anything more than a detractor to these talented youngsters.
